So I was playing survival in the 1.7 prerelease, when I turned the dial to night, and I saw something!

That right there is a Witch, the mob that supposedly could only spawn in swamps near witch huts!
So, what are your thoughts? Is this just a glitch in my system? Is this a new feature added by Mojang!? Express your thoughts!

its a new feature for halloween thats it go read the snapshot features XD

I kinda liked it better when they just stayed in their huts. Its going to be a bit harder to survive at night now. Oh well. New challenge.

I think I remember reading that this was for Halloween, and that it will be disabled afterwards, not 100% though

Witches in the 1.7 update now spawn (at night time) like almost every other mob. They appear in random terrain, so you don't have to worry about farming around a witches hut which can be really hard to find at times, just like other structures.

Falconblade99Yep new feature. I like it because it makes farming redstone and glowstone much easier, instead of having to build around a tiny hut
