Cat Disappeared?!?!

Hi, long story short, i ventured 15k blocks from spawn, found a cat, went into a desert temple, came out, and the cat was gone. Just wondering if my world will be glitched now, or will start laggin. Sorry i am just very ocd when it come to this game. An insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hmm... Two things could've happened.
1: The cat (if not tamed) de-spawned
2: The cat (if tamed) might've teleported to a location near you and gottan stuck in a wall or some how died.

Well, the cat was tamed, so, not sure about the first option. As with the second, let’s say it did o that. Will my world experience noticeable lag?
