Bypassing modded anvils in multiplayer

So literally anvils are modded in some servers so that players receive a custom GUI, which forces players to spend "server-currency" to fix items. But I believe there should be a way to bypass this and reach the default anvil GUI since the Minecraft anvil files are not removed from the server. Is it possible to make a mod that allows players to use a "nearby" anvil, without needing to right-click it? This shouldn't count as cheating since the anvil will be there to pop up the anvil GUI. No I dont think you can do that. Using plugins they can get rid of the functionality of blocks (e.g. cant open crafting tables/chests in hypixel) and replace it with a new one in realtime.
Hence the vanilla functionality is still there, but the server calling for that specific functionality is severed
