Does ANYONE Know How to Add a Mod to Java 1.20.2?

I want to add a mod to my recent purchase of Java edition, but I can't figure it out. Anyone wanna help?

Alright, first, is it Forge, or Fabric?

Alright, go to https://files.minecraftforge.net/net/minecraftforge/forge/ and download the right version.
Then, after the program downloads, open it in your files to download the launcher. After that, it should be an installation in the Minecraft Launcher.
Now, download your mod(s). Make sure they're all Forge versions, and then move them to the "mods" folder in the .minecraft space. (type in %appdata% in that search bar by the start menu, and then go to "Roaming" and then to .minecraft.) After that, you should be good to go!
Troubleshooting:
If your game launches, but displays an mod incompatibility notice, download the version of Forge it requires, and try again.
