Alright, So I have heard that from 1.10 to 1.12 was an 'easy' transform, just some simple update or something to a newer Forge build, will this also be the case for 1.13, (So will mods update quickly to 1.13?) Also how long will 1.13 be around till "1.14" comes out?
Also, Is there a way to convert the old 1.4 (mc version) of gregtech to a later version, or is there something similar???
Sorry I just really like to plan ahead for modding, since its not always a small thing.
Thanks!

How easy it is to update a mod from 1 version to another depends on if the mod uses functions that are renamed or changed between the versions of Forge. I created a mod that required very little change between 1.7.10 and 1.12. And I've got another mod which required a ton of change between those versions.
Nobody knows when new versions are going to be released until it's been announced.
It seems like GregTech is up to version 1.7.10. It seems like you should be able to write an update from 1.7.10 to a newer version using the source found on the bottom of the GregTech website.

Alrighty, Thanks! I doubt I would be able to convert GregTech, I only have basic knowledge of modding, only how to add on to what I already have, so I have a base mod for a certain version, then I copy what I already have, Usually it contains 1 of everything, such as an item, block, tool, food, armor ect.
