Hi everybody, I have a public minigame server that I own (http://www.planetminecraft.com/server/nmoleocraft-minigames-3277555/), and I would like it so everytime somebody joins, they are teleported to the spawn. How do I do that? Thanks.
P.S. It's vanilla.

Why don't you make the spawn where the players first go, and do /setspawn to make sure they stay there?

/Setspawn is really buggy and rarely works, sadly.

@IrishChaos is right.
This is something SethBling did a few years ago, it's pretty big and a bit outdated, but it still works just fine if you build it right.

You could also search around YouTube for smaller versions of that, I know I've seen a few around before, but I can't remember where.

Find the world spawn.
Cover a 20x20 area around the world spawn in tripwire that connects to a commandblock that tps to the area you want.
Encase it in Bedrock.
Thats the method used in Adventure Maps, so I assume it works for your server.

I know that in singleplayer, the /setworldspawn command will define a 20x20 area where new players or players without a spawnpoint will spawn. If you just put in on a glass area up high, you can simply teleport any player who is up there to your intended spawn.
It might work slightly differently in multiplayer, but the concept is probably pretty much the same.

oh, well, never-mind, there is nothing that can help you.
However, I will be checking it out, want to see how it works

You want a plugin called anti spam, it will have options so console will teleport them everytime they join.
I actually hate this feature in the plugin, it had me pulling my hair out for weeks because I didnt know the cause O.o

Oh I forgot to mention it is a vanilla server, i only use command blocks.

Then it'd require the use of variables. Unless 1.8 provides it, I don't think you can do that then.
UNLESS you make spawn directly on a specific block, then you use an infinite command block to constantly tp those guys somewhere else. However, if the player is quicker than the command block, then they can run off. And anybody who stumbles into that spawn will find it...unfortunate.
