Advanced-Kind Is A Completely New Take On The Towny Formula
From the player-driven economy to our custom-built towny upkeep model, ADK is Vanilla+ with everything you could ever want from a Towny server and more.
With an open and engaging community, a challenging but rewarding economy, and a beautiful map to build on, ADK is designed to be the dream of any Towny lover and everyone that enjoys a good SMP experience. There is so much to do, and so many options to adjust your gameplay as you want it. Every feature is optional in ADK. From McMMO and even Towny, all features bring their rewards and engagement, but at the end of the day, you chose what you want to do.
One Beautiful World
We have a fully rendered custom generated world that will bring Towny and player creativity to new heights. No client-side lag, and no server-side lag. The most beautiful beaches you have ever seen, surrounded by awe-inspiring mountains and brought to life with lush forests to get lost in. All while still feeling like a Minecraft world.
You might at first believe that having just one overworld will be a limitation, but it's anything but. The introduction of several custom recipes that take advantage of blast furnaces has created a market where Cobblestone, Dirt, Sand, etc, are items of at least some value. While not an impediment by any means, this gives even more choices when playing the economy and making a town.
Rethinking the Towny-Economy
The players drive the economy. No Admin shop, no P2W features. However, there is another, very important, agent in Advanced-Kind’s economy. The cities themselves. Towns will be able to choose from a variety of production centers to build and upgrade over time as their population grows.
Mines, sawmills, farms, and much more. All unique advantages to living in a town, custom coded, and exclusive to our server. They will provide a source of regenerative resources that will re-balance gameplay around them.
Those who wish to explore the world in search of resources will still be able to, but as time passes towns will grow in production capacity while natural ores dwindle, resulting in a dynamic and organic world filled with opportunities.

We are open about our policies and actively seek feedback. With a well-organized ticket system and feedback channels, you'll always have a place to express your opinion.

A Passion Project
Advanced-Kind was envisioned by Minecraft-Towny veterans. We have lofty ambitions to make meaningful improvements to the tired multiplayer formula of SMP-Towny. This is a passion project for us. Resources are limited, so while you won’t find the flashiest features such as layered NPC quests or custom textures, we will keep the experience balanced and as polished as possible.

We have lots of features and most of them are explained through our in-game NPC tutorials. However, we have tried, whenever possible, to give players the chance to skip them so no one has to bother with a feature they don't enjoy.
Rules:
1- Be respectful to other players and Staff.
2- Only use English in General chat and when talking with Staff.
3- Do not engage in toxicity or trolling. In any chat.
4- Do not spam general chats.
5- Do not advertise other Minecraft servers, Discords, and/or websites.
6- Cheating is not allowed. Modified clients that provide any sort of advantage are not allowed. Mods and texture packs such as X-Ray are not allowed. (Optifine is allowed)
7- Do not use exploits. Whether from Vanilla Minecraft or specific to ADK, they are not allowed.
8- AFK farming and client automation are not allowed.
9- Do not exchange IRL money for in-game items, currency or services.
10- Griefing is not allowed in the wild. You're not allowed to destroy terrain around a town with the objective of making it ugly.
11- You're not allowed to claimblock or destroy the terrain outside of other towns.
12- Terraforming is allowed, however, excessive terrain destruction is not.
13- Follow Staff indications when required.[/p]

ADK was/is entertaining, but i find it to fall into a typical towny trap of not having much to keep someone entertained if you are not good at building(like me) after you join or create a town, and then build a house and get good gear, the only reason i didnt stop playing after i got all this is because i made friends and like hanging out with the in the server.

ADK is an amazing server for those wanting a completely player driven economy*. Being on the server, I absolutely love the community that has been formed, almost everyone is a joy to interact with and are willing to help you with almost anything. I have only been on the server for about a day or so, but I have learned so much that I feel as if my words might be important for those who are looking. What ADK does differently has to do with how plugins are used or implemented. While these features might be present on a million other servers, I have never seen anything like showing discord pictures in game, allowing for regen-ing town mines or custom map generation that makes every area feel and look absolutely beautiful, or having a dynmap that looks and feels like something completely brand new. It’s these things that makes playing on the server feel very smooth and I can easily get lost wandering around and talking to others. Another important thing is that unlike many other servers of this type, it doesn’t use donations to give donors impossibly broken rewards and insteads opts for something a lot less noticeable which is always a plus.
There are so many things that I like about this server that I could go on and on forever but it’s just best if you join the server today and see for yourself. If you do decide to join the server, I do have to warn and give context to that * above next to “completely player driven economy” as now I think would be the best place to mention it. For starters, having a completely player driven economy is an amazing idea and I wish more servers would allow the players to completely shape the economy and likewise I wish this server did so as well.
For the most part you are able to set the price of any and everything, but the problem arises with villagers. Usually when I have joined a server and noticed that all villagers and villager trading has been disable, it has been because of lag with how poorly optimized villagers can be but on this server villagers are disabled because of the “pretty op stuff” you can trade for “basic items''. You might be wondering what this means, and from what I can tell apparently the enchantment “mending” has been deemed op to the point that if it was as common as it is on every other server the “econ” would break. These aren’t speculations on my part, but straight from the owner’s mouth.
What this results in is countless discord pages of people complaining about how rare mending is, mending being added to the voter crate, boosted in fishing/salvaging and added treasure chests, and pre-existing mending books being priced so high that it might take weeks for any new player to get their hands on even 1 book. While some may agree that mending is over powered to any degree, what we should also agree is that if a way to get said mending book has been stripped, we shouldn’t call the economy “completely player driven.” What I mean about this is that the price of mending isn’t because of how rare it is, it’s because the only consistently easy way to obtain the book has been removed. Basically, it’s good for those who already have their hands on a book and it’ll be one hell of a grind to get one no matter which route you take to obtain one.
Being someone who is concerned with this problem, I brought it up with the owner and after “being honest” multiple times I was only told to “go read the suggestions” channel as they have had this conversation multiple times. To me, being told “I have had people tell me mending’s rarity is a problem” more than a handful of times would have swayed me to fix the issue entirely by re-introducing villagers and when mentioning this I was told that I was “arrogant” for continuing to message them about the situation when they “told me to go and read our (the server’s) arguments”. Everything else about this server is amazing to the point that I was actually considering donating because I enjoyed how passionate the server owner, staff, and players are with being apart of ADK but this behavior from the owner in PM has left such a nasty taste in my mouth that I’ve lost all interest in playing on the server. The worst part about the entire situation is that if I wasn’t called “arrogant”, I probably wouldn’t have minded that mending was all but impossible for me to get.

Being someone who is concerned with this problem, I brought it up with the owner and after “being honest” multiple times I was only told to “go read the suggestions” channel as they have had this conversation multiple times. To me, being told “I have had people tell me mending’s rarity is a problem” more than a handful of times would have swayed me to fix the issue entirely by re-introducing villagers and when mentioning this I was told that I was “arrogant” for continuing to message them about the situation when they “told me to go and read our (the server’s) arguments”. Everything else about this server is amazing to the point that I was actually considering donating because I enjoyed how passionate the server owner, staff, and players are with being apart of ADK but this behavior from the owner in PM has left such a nasty taste in my mouth that I’ve lost all interest in playing on the server. The worst part about the entire situation is that if I wasn’t called “arrogant”, I probably wouldn’t have minded that mending was all but impossible for me to get.
