FrontierCraft: The Oregon Trail



FrontierCraft is a Technic server set in a 1:500 scale recreation of the American frontier during the time of the Oregon Trail and California Gold Rush. The map will include all major settlements and landmarks from the Missouri River to the West Coast, including towns, forts, trading posts, Native American villages, etc.

Players spawn on a steamboat in Independence Missouri, where they will gather the supplies necessary for making the journey west. Along the way, they will encounter animals, such as bears, deer and cougars; as well as people, such as farmers, hunters and traders. With the help of Noppe's Custom NPCs mod, these characters will interact with one another in a dynamic environment similar to that of a role playing game. In order to gain experience, money and reputation, players can complete npc quests. These quests range from simple tasks like gathering resources and speaking to people, to complex group activities, such as disposing of bandit camps and even participating in large scale battles.

Here are some pictures of the progress I have already made. The basic outline for the Great Plains region is complete. I need people to build interiors, more settlements in the Indian territory and their own creative touches throughout the map. I am also looking for people to help me write quests, as well as a dynamic multiple branch story line.
