The maximum amount of players is 50 people.

Well, if 100 players get on and the servers connection can't handle that much traffic there will be lag for everyone even if the ram can handle that many players.

Yes true, but thats mostly on the players connection.

Lag can also be caused by the quality of internet connection the server has.
