Play Minecraft for Science!
We are a group of researchers at the University of Cambridge. Our aim is to use the ‘HeapCraft’ plugin (http://www.heapcraft.net) to find out how factors like personality, motivation and immersion affect playstyle in Minecraft.
To take part all you need to do is read the attached information sheet, fill in a 10 minute online questionnaire, and play on our vanilla survival server! In addition to helping advance the field of Psychology, there will also be the opportunity to receive data about your gameplay at the end of the study. If interested, please go to the link below:

After completing these steps, you will be given the server IP address, and can play as much as you like.
If you have filled in the questionnaire but did not make a note of the server IP address, please send an email to minecraftpsychstudy@gmail.com with your username and the date that you filled out the questionnaire.

Can you provide anything showing this is an official server for the University of Cambridge? Why aren't you using an email from the university instead of a gmail?

We opted to set up a dedicated gmail in the interests of not having our personal university addresses bombarded with emails.
Qualtrics is a well-known piece of survey software (http://www.qualtrics.com/) that we run through Cambridge's servers (hence the 'cambridge.eu' prefix).
Really sorry (and surprised) that this has aroused any suspicion!
