6 GB of ram enough for a 50 player server?

So. I have a 50 slot server with 6 gigs of ram allocated to it. Around 15 people were on earlier today, and I noticed the players were "teleporting" instead of walking. I noticed that there was no chat lag, but its still annoying when we try to play hunger games. Is 6 gigs enough? What can I do to make it faster?

6 gigs is WAY more than you need. try lowering the amount of slots and every once in a while do /stoplag and /stoplag -c to turn it off. Although the usual problem is client side lag. Meaning you have your settings WAY too high.
