Once long ago the land was ruled by a beautiful queen named Rhyena Daryu
Divhalen. Everyone called her Queen Rhyena. She reined in Justice and decreed that One should sweat by the brow to earn what they would call theirs. And so it was that most would bend their backs and creak their bones to make certain they were worthy to call what they had as their own. The queen was loved by many but still, there were some who held naught but contempt for the pristine conduct. There were those who craved chaos. The sneaks and treasonous venom met at night and plotted and schemed amidst the shadows of the night.

After a time they began to spread their shared contempt for the queen, and tainted her goodly visage. Soon she was made to be a cruel and unforgiving woman. She was a tyrant to the world, no longer the divine presence of Justice she had valiantly pursued. People began to fight and harrass her guards. Some defaced her castle. With the lack of respect to the Justice of the world the people fell into dreadful acts of which one should regret. Thieves and murderers were revealed and openly active in their hunting for prey. The dawn held no hope for the people of the world. Anarchy and chaos reined supreme and the queen watched sadly as her kingdom fell into misery.

One day she peered about her city that stood in ruins with people bedraggled and fighting each other still for any scraps they could find. Her anger overtook her and it transformed her. Her shape morphed and grew greater and more. She was a dragon of rage and injustice; loosing a mournful roar across the world. She tore the world asunder and decimated all. Her fiery anger burned the world for days. When her anger finally died out she slipped away in a magical gate and has yet to ever be seen again. Now the world has grown and it is begun again. It is said that the dragon will return again should the world fall into chaos again.

I would love to see everyone roleplay but it's not a rule that will be enforced.

Rules:

All rules are designed to ensure that the player has a good experience within Haven. We have always believed in a strict approach when enforcing the rules and will not always give warnings. All banned players have the ability to submit a ban appeal. Ban appeals are not counted as a high priority so do not ask when yours will be processed.
In most cases, failure to follow the rules will result in a ban; consider the ban to be permanent unless told otherwise in your ban appeal. If you break the rules, expect the punishment.

By joining our server, you agree to all of the following rules and conditions and you agree that you have read them all. All rules are subject to interpretation by the Admins and Owner. Mods will enforce the rules to the letter.


Breaking some of these rules will result in a warning, continuing to break them will result in a temp ban or permanent ban. All warnings, temp bans and bans are logged.


Main Server Rules:
- No exploitation. [Will result in a ban or warning pending severity]
Exploitation is defined by staff as any action that is not meant to be within the normal realm of player actions.
If you find an exploit and use it, regardless of the reason of it being there, you will be banned.
Please promptly report exploits. We do reward this action in very favourable ways.

-No using cheats / hacks [Will result in a ban]
Xray / Player tracking / Force field / Auto clickers / See through Invis / Auto Aim. This list is not exclusive. There are many more, you know exactly what is and what is not a cheat. If you have any questions ask a member of staff.
*NOTE* Xrayers - we catch every single xray user, every time, do not think you will slip past. Take that how you will.

-No Auto Mob Farms / EXP Grinders. [Will result in a ban or warning pending on severity]

- No foul language. [Will result in a warning, ban if severe]
Foul language is gauged by our staff. If you think its okay but do not know, you may want to privately ask a staff member before saying it.

- No spamming/trolling. [Will result in a warning for minor cases, ban if severe]
Trolling is dictated by staff. This can be any overly annoying action that is meant to cause another player or staff member grief or waste their time. Don’t do it.
Advertisement also applies under this rule. If you advertise or plug any other server, product, or website on our server, expect a ban. This rule does not apply to strictly minecraft related subjects. If you want to link sites, do it on Skype or some other medium.
Do not link any sort of adult content. The results are not good for you.

- No harassment/Bullying of others. [Will rulst in a ban]
If you are found to be harassing a member or bullying them, it is a perma-ban. No questions.
Harassment can be defined in many ways but more or less this rules applies if: Have you been asked to stop some action? Have you been asked to stop whispering someone? If so, you’re probably violating this rule.

-Sexual Harassment / Sexism [Will result in a ban]
Under no circumstance will this be tolerated and will be met with a ban from website/TeamSpeak/server indefinitely.

-Racism/Homophobia/Antisemitism [Will result in a ban]
Under no circumstance will this be tolerated and will be met with a ban from website/TeamSpeak/server indefinitely.

- No offensive structures. [Will result in a ban]
No bad words. No inappropriate body parts. No signs with bad things on them.

- No offensive skins. [Will be asked to change]
Self explanatory.

- No 1x1 towers. [Will result in a warning]
You are allowed to build 1x1 towers in order to survey the area.
You need to remove them when you are done with them or they will result in a ban.

No disruptive actions. [Will result in a ban]
Attempting to disrupt the server in any way will result in a ban. This can be defined as actions outside of the server as well.
Attempting to get another player banned or detained by staff without proper reason, or with malice, also falls under this rule.
creating tension amongst the players will also fall under this rule. If you are purposely trying to hurt the community or their time, we will treat it as hostile. So play nice.


PvP Rules:

- Spawn Camping/Camping is not allowed. [Will result in a warning, may result in a ban]
Spawn camping is defined by staff as a player(s) continuously standing near the spawn of an opposing player and killing them repeatedly. If you are found to be doing this, it will result in a warning and then a ban.
Camping will be dictated through definition by the admins. If a raiding force remains in a single location (town, village, etc) for more than 15 minutes without another force to fight, they must move on. Otherwise this will be considered camping of that location. Players are allowed to hide from a raiding force without recourse.

- Traps are permitted with certain exceptions [Will result in a warning]
Trap which kill people quickly = OK
Traps which only trap people and prevent the trapped player from enjoying their time on Haven are not okay. You will be asked to remove the trap and if you do not, this will be considered disobedience of staff and you will be banned.

- No PvP Hopping. [Will result in a warning]
PvP Hopping is defined as running from a No PvP area to a PvP enabled area to attack someone and then retreating to the sanctuary of the No PvP area again.
This action can, and will, result in a ban. If you are going to raid, be prepared to die, or run. Do not run into a No PvP zone as you will be reported by your attackers.

- No Excessive Raiding. [Will result in a warning]
If we deem a town to be raided excessively, we will take the appropriate action as this falls under the harassment rule.

Rules Related to Lag:

- No AFK farmers.
Use of any technique or macro to farm mobs while AFK will be treated as an exploit and will result in a ban.
This rule also applies to AFK machines to keep your character from being disconnected.

- No Automated RedStone Devices [Will result in a warning]
Rapid redstone clocks or machines are prohibited as they cause lag
Excessive redstone devices may be subject to removal if found to cause excessive lag

- No World Anchors [Will result in a warning]
Any device that is found to be used to keep a chunk from deload

Towny Rules:

- Town Limits
Town sizes are limited to 500 plots. Changes to this limit are at admin discretion.
Towns must be a part of the nation in which they reside or are closest to. Only exceptions apply to the islands surrounding the map. They are neutral ground and may be claimed by the nation of the mayor in control currently.
Town plots may not be transferred between towns once they are assigned to a town. This means that the plots will stay in possession of the town and the mayor in question. They may not be transferred between alts, or other players after they are assigned and placed.
Two or more towns may not be combined to create a town that exceeds 500 plots. Alternatively, towns being located next to one another must have the consent of both mayors. Admin discretion will be used in situations where towns located next to each other are seen as disruptive or oversized, otherwise exploiting the rules of the server.
Town Mayors who are inactive for 3 months will forfeit their town to an active assistant voted upon by town members.
Towns with all members inactive for 3 months will be placed into ruin and open for looting.
Towns will not be moved once placed nor will Admins WorldEdit in existing builds for town members.
Town borders shall remain 160 blocks (10 chunks) from another town unless previously agreed upon by mayors.

- Moving Towns
Admins will not move towns once placed. Make sure where you want it BEFORE you have it placed.
Claiming and unclaiming plots over and over to move a town is not suggested.
If you MOVE your town and, in the process, violate any of the Towny limits in these rules, your town will be subject to removal. WE DO NOT SUGGEST MOVING YOUR TOWN.

- Stealing IS permitted.
If you grief to steal however, it is bannable. Do not break into houses in order to steal.
This is an RP aspect that some people may not agree with but it is acceptable as long as other rules are adhered to.
It is the responsibility of the owner of the chest to lock their chest or the door leading to it.

- Vault Rules:
We have put a restriction on the amount of things you may lock. Therefore, we encourage players to put their items of value in vaults with a single door leading to them.
If these rooms are griefed in order to gain access, the player violating the rule will be banned under our griefing policies.
Vaults are the sole responsibility of the owning player to lock them AND close the door. If you leave them open and you lose things, that is not a staff issue.

- Unlocking of chests:
Locked chests are often left over when people leave a town or the server. If this is the case, the town mayor, or when in the wilderness, any player, may request an unlock by staff after 2 weeks of inactivity from the player who owns the chest.
This applies to banned players as well. If you are banned for over a month, and your chests are unlocked, and then you receive an appeal verdict resulting in your unbanning, loss of your items is not a staff issue.

Heroes Rules:

- No exploitation of Heroes skills. [Will result in a warning]
We are constantly changing Heroes. This means that sometimes issues crop up that are exploitable. You are to report these. If you are found to be exploiting them outside of their normal use, you will be banned.
Refer to the rule about exploitation under “Main Server Rules”


RP Rules & Conditions:

-When you come across a group of people roleplaying, please show respect and do not interrupt them out of character.

-If in combat, logging out will now instantly kill you, and drop all your items. It is advised that you stay in combat with the other player until you have run away or finished the job. You will not be able to use the /town spawn command in combat either. It has been set up this way to discourage cheating in combat.

-Role-play enhances the gaming experience; please do not interupt people who are roleplaying, doing so may result in a ban.

-Using role-play as a way to cover up vindictive or disruptive behaviour will result in a ban. This includes the harassment of players.

Wilderness Rules:

- No making a mess. [Will result in a warning]
Randomly placing blocks or signs, etc with no intended reason (or discernible reason) will result in a ban
Placing of lava or water in order to make a mess with result in a ban. This means if you use lava in pvp, you are required to clean up after yourself. We would suggest not using it incase you die.
NO FLOATING TREES. If you chop a tree down, get it all or don’t do it.

- Stay away from the capitals when building.
You need to be a minimum of 800 blocks from the capitals when building. That is equal to 50 plots. This rule applies to the end of the towny region for each capital, NOT the end of the city structures themselves.
Do not mine near the capitals.
Do not tear down trees near capitals.

- No excessive wilderness griefing. [Will result in a warning or ban depending on severity]
If you find an unclaimed building and you would like to salvage it, you may. However, you need to remove it all.
Leaving parts of a building standing while salvaging it will result in a ban under this rule.
