Skyrim The Project.
I am starting a skyrim project. details aren't realy here yet but we need people to help us. When we have done some I will open the server to the public soo they can explore what we have made.
Anyone that does help us will get a link to there pmc account and what they have done. This is a good chance to get recognised!
we need a server host, builders texturers and coders.

Just because im away fir a day doesnt five you the right to steal my project. I have gotten a server host with 16 ram and just need everyone that is still interested to PM me their ign so I can white list them!

Although my building skill is fairly low I own my own server also I think I have a good eye for what looks good I have played skyrim and have go to legendary deadric EVERYTHING so I know the game well I also have the GIANT guide book.

This is how to do it on windows. I don't know how to do it on mac
1. Open CMD type ip config. locate the item labeled "Default Gateway"
2. Type the IP into your web browser you may get some sort of login page
try admin as the username and password as the password
3. Then once you have logged in, find a link labeled "virtual servers" or
"port forwarding" or "gaming".
4. Click on add custom service or there will be blank boxes
the name can be any thing like "minecraft"
the port should be 25565
protocol = TCP
Both inbound ports should be 25565
both private ports should be 25565 if you have that
5. Select CMD window again
find your ipv4
and take the last number of that and put it into
' IP address' of your router screen
press apply changes
Make sure you click enable or the server wont work

i could host the server P.M if u interested,16GB ram and 10MB Internet speed Enough for 20~15 players even more
Just to let you know, 16GB can host 50+

Oh of course! Its very good! I host with 8GB, and have a 50 player limit, so with 16 you can host much more.
Although I have noticed more of a sliding scale, its not like 4GB = 25. 8GB = 50, 16GB = 100, more like 4GB = 30, 8GB = 50, 16GB = 75
It kinda levels out once you get to a certain point, depends on things like internet speed, processing power, etc.

can anyone teach me to port forward because thats what im stuck on.
Google it. If you can't find there, then post in the forums in the help section. Loads of knowledge around here.

but you cant really expect to get this off the ground without your own server, as others would probably want to use theirs for their own personal use, as i do

If you like my texture pack (the one below) then maybe I could make a Skyrim texture pack in 64x64 and then shrink down the textures. Then we could have a HD texture pack and a regular one. (I've never tried this so if it's a bad idea let me know)
I've shrunken textures before to fit my needs. Just have to decrease the pixels to 50% or 25% depending on the size you want.
I know how to do it, just never done it. Probably have to do a little bit of tweaking to make it seamless.
