Can you start a server? Yes, even though I am mac user. I still know how to start the server, I know the basics on starting the server, using op commands, and etc.
How? You get a craftbukkit jar from bukkit site, then you open notepad, and type the java code that will make the server run, lets stay it's the way to start the server. and double click it and wallah!
Can you add plugins? Yes.
How? Go to bukkit.org, get plugins, download them, and put them in plugins folder. Then you need to reload the server in order for the plugin to work and activated.
