The Fantasy Frontier [In Beta]

Welcome to the Frontier. After the death of the Nordic King, Kraeli, the old world was shattered into conflicts far and wide. While war burned across the old world a select few, an enlightened few, decided not to get caught up in the rising chaos and instead sailed off to discover the Fabled lands of Morl. Upon reaching the new world they found a cold land, abundant with lush green trees and distant snowy peaks. While they worked to survive without aid in their new home the politics of the old world would not be lost entirely. Old grudges would soon return and no doubt new conflicts would arise. For now, nature was a dire enough enemy in itself.
Now that we have spent some time setting the scene let me give you an idea of what you might experience. The world itself is mostly empty, that is not because I am lazy but because this is a frontier and I want you to create the world. This is also why there is very little, for the time being, in terms of world lore. There isn't going to be much in the way of super fancy combat and levelling systems or some deep questing mechanics, this is not an attempt to create an MMORPG like WoW, Runescape, EVE or any of the many others. The aim is roleplay. What this means is when you are on the server you are expected to stay in character unless requesting help with a bug or informing staff of some issue, even then there are specific channels for that. It is my hope that players will go off and create their homes and potentially form towns and factions. I want the world to grow around the players themselves and no be some overly artificial attempt to create a fully formed world for you to just appear in. This will be your world and you will help shape it. In time I hope that these competing factions start claiming portions of the world as their own, perhaps sparking war or discussion.
The Plugins that we will have will exist purely to keep you immersed, so that you can have written treaties and see their characters name in the chat and not 'LordVader27'. With all this being said you can't expect to simply walk into the land of Morl and becomes a Fantasy Frontiersman. You will need to apply below in order to be accepted and white-listed onto the server.

A Warning to all. The Server is in a beta phase. Lots of things will be changing around and if you log in and suddenly the chat looks funny, thats why. That said this is almost entirely on the side of Plugins and such and so dont worry about your builds disapearing they are here to stay and if that is going to change. I WILL warn you.

At a young age, he started showing signs of his half dwarf form his father, with this, came to the natural knack for blacksmithing and mining. Although he was proud of his heritage the children at his very short schooling years didn't like it. He was deemed the outcast and was never looked upon as a good thing, picked last, picked on first. He joined the military to help his confidence but was denied due to him being half human half dwarf. So he worked as a plowboy as a black market dealer for several years until he heard of a new land called Morl. “Ugh,
these damned people, I came here to avoid people,” Drake mumbled to
himself as the people who were rushing past him bumped into him. He
continued to make his way off the dock and sit under the shade of a
nearby tree. The tall branches of the solid oak stretching into the sky
above him. His took a deep breath and opened his small back, a small
amount of coin was tied tightly into a small cloth bag, as well as an
apple. He took the apple out and ate it, enjoying the sweet taste that
flooded his mouth. As he looked out over the grass where the people were
walking out over the gravel path to the stretches beyond. No one seemed
to notice him so he contently took a nap, the soft rustling of leaves
urging him to sleep.
As
Drake awoke, he awoke to a problem. His pack had gone, assuming someone
took it for their own gain, he got up quickly and looked around to see
if the person who stole his pack was still around. Sadly, to Drake’s
dismay, the person wouldn’t. “Ah, by the gods above, and my father
wondered why I hated so many, yet was so good at talking.” Drake’s
father was a simple man who enjoyed his life from farming. He often went
to town to talk to the merchants who bought his produce. His father
knew them from his time as a town guard, which allowed him to grow a
flourishing relationship with the merchants. Though on a bandit raid he
was hit in the head with a club and was knocked unconscious for around
two days when he awoke he wasn’t the same. He seemed simpler and much
easier going then he was. So he left his job as a town guard with
blessings from his captain and purchased a small plot of land on which
to farm. Where he married a woman and had a son named Drake.
Drake
couldn’t stand the boredom of the farm and wanted adventure, as well as
to get away from the people who always came to the farm and called him a
‘boy’. Just the thought of the word angered him. He took a deep breath
and right as he was about to set off he heard the soft crush of grass
behind. He whipped around to reveal two men in dark green hooded
leather. Drake’s eyes narrowed, “What do you want?” He asked through a
slim mouth. “We are just wondering where the next town is.” One of the
men answered. “Well, I’m new here so I’ve no idea.” Drake spat back as
he turned around. Just about as Drake was about to step away he heard
the soft rasp of metal against leather. He rolled forward just as he
heard the sound of metal cutting through the air. That metallic hiss. He
spun around and faced the two men, his eyes glowering. One of the men
held a short sword while the other one stood behind him. “Coward,” Drake
muttered to himself. “What was that boy?” One of the men barked at him.
Drake’s eyes light up with rage, “Go on,” He urged. “Try to kill me.”
One of the men chuckled and dashed at him, the sword extended in a
thrust. Drake sidestepped the thrust and grabbed the man’s arm. He
raised his fist to hit the man on the bridge of his nose when suddenly
the air was knocked out of him.
Drake
look to his side where the blow had come from and saw the other man
with his fist firmly planted on Drake’s side. Pain exploded from Drake’s
side, and he turned his screams into a rage and brought his fist down
onto
the swordsman’s face. Blood spurted from his nose, Drake turned to face
the other man. But he was already gone, a small form sprinting against
the light green grass of the plains. When Drake turned back around to
face the other man, he was scrambling away into the distance as well. A
smirk grew on Drake’s face as he turned and began to limp off towards
where the other people had set off.

isn't big with muscle, but he isn't fat either, his body is lean and
well-muscled as standing taller his muscles are longer than others and
therefore grow differently. He stands at about 6'1 and weighs just over
180 lbs. Although no parts could be described as being physically
visible stronger or weaker than others, Drake does have slightly
stronger legs than his arms. - Drake
has a tanned tone to his skin from many days outdoors. Most of his body
is bruised from traveling and some parts are laced with old scars from
the training sessions he would have with his father. On his chin rests a
small scar that extends down his neck to just over his heart, and on
his left shoulder lies a small mark. A sun with a skull over it, a
cursed mark from a magic ritual that was interrupted by a hex curse. - Currently,
he has little to no hair on his body except for a light dusting on his
arms and legs, and a light scruff on his face. As he father emphasized a
clean shave and taught Drake how to shave with what was available, even
a sword.

- Shy: When
Drake grew up, he had little exposure to the outside world, and
therefore is shy around most new people, and will often try to hide his
face from them. As he fears that they will make fun of him as his
father’s friends did. Since Drake is susceptible to mood swings he can
act shy around people is already good friends with.
- No forethought: Acting
purely on instinct as his mother told him to, Drake goes with what his
gut tells him to do and sometimes doesn’t listen to his mind. Sticking
to this advice Drake wants nothing more than to do something right.
Though it is often that since he doesn’t think before he acts, he will
mess something up.
- Brave:
Wanting to impress those around him, Drake will often brave any fear he
has some recognition. As he will beat himself up is he believes he
could’ve helped someone, but just was a bystander, which often happens
as he is too shy to approach. However, Drake’s mood swings allow
him to bypass his own shyness and shine in the spotlight. Though it is
later that Drake may pick out something he would’ve done wrong, and
criticize himself for it. - Ignorant:
While being brave, Drake is also extremely ignorant of the threats the
world poses. Combine this with no forethought and you will find he can
often get into fights with people when he really shouldn’t. This also
plays a part in Drake’s shyness, as he isn’t only ignorant of hostile
people. Looking at innocent people, Drake will be ignorant of the
details, and would only pick out the hostile things about them.

Age: A ripe old age of -- shocker -- 19!

Race: Elvish Presley.
Strengths & Weakness:
Strengths: A strong will, so hard, instead of you breaking it, it breaks you. She also has an unnatural talent with knives, including throwing, carving, skinning, and et cetera. She also has very quick fingers, meaning pick-pocketing, lock picking, and stealing come easy to her, and she is very well at handling money.
Weaknesses: She has a very hard time holding her tongue and is very arrogant, earning her quite a few unnecessary battles and bar brawls. She also has a bit of a drinking problem, not that she gets drunk, but that she has a strange attraction to beer and insists on having a keg an hour, though that has made her quite resilient to the affects of alcohol.
Appearance: Illium is freakishly pale with dirty blonde hair and ocean blue eyes. Not the light ocean blue though, blue as dark as the depths of the sea. I'd pay the captain of the cargo ship for the ride and thanked him for letting me ride. After sometime I made it do a restaurant, I could tell immediately that this was the place emitting the aroma, as the salty smell of the ocean was almost completely masked by the smell of cooked food. On your first meeting with Bolton he will seem very rude, and not caring. He doesn't seem to care about anyone and believes it is everyone's own purpose to care for themselves. If you are able to achieve the hard task of becoming friends with Bolton he will be very open, and caring. Still, even when you befriend Bolton he will show little to no emotion at most times. You'll often see him leaning against a wall and smirking for no reason. He also likes to think of a logical way to resolve most things and hates when others fight, as he thinks it's a waste of time. Even though he doesn't like fighting, he likes to see gore and blood.
History
Bolton Hagmere grew up in a small wood cabin on the outskirts of a massive elf town. He would spend most of his young days begging with a bowl in town. His parents had been killed when he was six by a band of human thieves, and he has been alone since then. He became very shrivel and weak by the time he was a teenager. Although skinny, and shrivel he had gained abnormal speed and agility from walking around the outskirts of town so much, and supplying himself with food from the forest.

Mari grew up in the village of Sparrows Nest located in the isolated mountains. Her mother was the chief of her village while her father was a shaman who, they did everything in their power to protect and prepare her for the world outside of her home. Mari spent most of her life in the village however, learning to hunt and survive as well as becoming connected to nature and the forces that govern it. When her 19th birthday came so did the Trial of Ages, an ancient tradition practice by her people. The Trial of Ages stats that once a child of their village turns 19 they must set out into the world beyond the mountain peeks to decide what they would become, only able to return after they had turned 23. Thus Mari set out.

Your Character finds themselves alone and surrounded by vicious wolves: Rowan knew she shouldn't have tried to walk back by herself, but she went away. Now she was surrounded by wolves, like an idiot. Rowan grabbed the flint she kept in her pack and one of the sticks lying on the ground. She tries to make a makeshift torch in hopes of scaring off the wolves. The torch is crude and doesn't last long, but it's enough to scare off the wolves.

Standing at a mere 5'10 tall, Zaaryth gives off an expression that is usually brightened by a faint smile. Having a pair of hazel eyes, Zaaryth's entire face makeup is quite mellow and smooth in both sight and texture. His hair is typically shaven just along the right side of his head. However, the top and right side of his hair have been straightened and tied into a literal hair-bun. His elven ears perk just at the sides, revealing his Elven heritage.
Continuing on, Zaaryth is usually seen donning a pair of comfortable leggings that latch onto his legs comfortably, a bit raised just above his ankles. He wears a pair of common sandals, along with a simple shirt that covers his entire upper body. When looked by a decent distance, one can see that he is one to maintain his figure, as well as personal hygiene.

Being one of various Elves, Zaaryth enjoys being the main person to start up a conversation. He will almost always try to appreciate each conversation. His gestures seem much more disciplined if paid attention to, as well as his actions. In addition, Zaaryth will give off a usual breath or exhale before continuing on his current task. This Elven truly is a mystery in and of himself.

Thirty years prior to the present time, Zaaryth had been born to an Elven couple. Beforehand, the couple had made the arrangements after their time within the old world, progressing into the new world. Traveling with their group of Elven, upon entering the lushful forests, Zaaryth had then come into the world.

With a growing curiosity of the world, Zaaryth allowed himself to follow the steps of his Elven heritage, taking up classes that allowed him to complete his tasks within discipline and the common arts. One would believe this child to be quite privileged, however, it was through the work of his parents that allowed Zaaryth to do so.

Zaaryth set his arms up before setting his gaze up at the troubled stranger. Listening to his shouts, demanding for his belongings, Zaaryth furrowed his eyebrows, unlacing his satchel before extending it out.
Taking but a moment for the exchange, Zaaryth waited for the perfect moment before sending two fingernails into the stranger's eyes before gripping his satchel tightly back, making a run for it soon after.
