is there a way to make a portal to the nether? ive made a few of them and cant get them to work. its a vanilla server. no mods or nothing like that. it maybe a SMP server. not sure im only co-owner of the server.

i was on a server last night that had glowstone blocks made into a house. i ask them how they got that on the server and had no reply.

also is there a place where i can get mods from? we want to try some of these gun mods and atv someone created and want to know where we can get them. i seen the thread on the forums here and wanted a guide for setting it up to help us out. were pretty good with this stuff. just noob to the minecraft mods scene.
