You have awoken in a strange room with a door. The last thing you remember is laying down to sleep. "What is this place?" you ask aloud to no one as you step through the door into the sunlight. You stand in the middle of an ancient town. The buildings are collapsing, but the architecture is beautiful. "Is anyone here?" you yell, your voice echoing off the distant hills. Nothing but the sounds of nature answer back.
As you explore the town, you hear a soft voice all around you announce that someone has become lucid and a stranger materializes in front of you. You back away in fright, the stranger is in gleaming armour, wielding a massive sword that glows with an ancient power. "Do not be afraid," he speaks, "you are merely dreaming just like me."
You speak for what seems like ages. He explains that this world is no more than a dream of many people, but it is no less real than the flesh and blood of your slumbering body. You have materialized in the land of an ancient civilization, long disappeared. It's time to explore, adventure, fight, build, and live in this lucid fantasy for as long as you sleep...
