-Back up your statements with evidence:
You said that you're a really good builder so perhaps you could send links to your projects or add photos to the thread
-Remember SPAG!
Spelling and grammar help to show you as a mature individual that should be hired.
-Add length:
Although you shouldn't 'waffle', having a length to your post shows you have put in more time and effort to it and that you'll put time and effort into someone's server.
