Ok I admit it, Ive no idea how to go about making a skin.
Ive seen some "How to install vids" out there but I dont know if any of these programs work on Mac OSX.
Anyone help please.
Also I fail at making any sort of topic so please dont be a jerk. If you dont have any help just go away and do not leave rude comments.

I have a mac, and I use photostudio. It's similar to paint or photoshop. Look in your apps, it should be built in. McSkinEdit is another option if you'd like to see the preview of the skin while editing.

Guys, websites like Minershoes and Novaskin are banned from PMC, look in the rules.
I would recommend MCSkin3D, but it's not Mac compatible. I don't own a Mac myself, so you'll have to ask someone else.

No. Those are terrible for skins, I would recommend a program called Paintbrush that's a Mac exclusive that I use.

I use minershoes for different reasons, to get hoodies and stuff for MY skin not the ones on pmc and i also use Skinedit because its not complex... unless your a baby if you use paintbrush you have to find what parts of the page would be the face and stuff

With GIMP, don't just save it as a regular file. Right below the safe option there's one that says "export as". Click that, and from there you can make it a jpg or whatever you want.

If it does, then do the following steps (in order!):
1. Open up the editor
2. Download the reference skin on minecraft.net (To get to the page to download it, go to minecraft.net>Profile and then scroll down to 'Change how you look in MineCraft' and click 'download reference skin.
3. Open the reference skin in your editor
4. Edit the skin to your likings!!!

Does your computer have a built in picture-editing program?
1
Not particularly.
I had photoshop on my last computer but it wont install on here as it is outdated and unsupported. Ive also tried GIMP but that will only save it in some weird format that only GIMP understands making it pointless.

In the File menu in GIMP, there is a button called Export. Click that and then keep clicking Export till you run out of cake.
