Hey guys, I recently started using the LB Photo Realism Pack 256x256 Version 9.0.5 texture pack, All running fine and smooth etc ... Anyhow i whipped out my compass only to find there is no pin inside pointing to spawn?
Is this a bug in the texture pack or am i missing something?

It's definitely something to do with the texture pack not being updated to 1.5 correctly.
With 1.5 some animation things were screwed around with, including the compass. When in doubt check the wiki though.

Yes im using OptiFine 1.5.1 HD B2, The compass works fine as soon as i swap to the KoP Photo Realism modern x256 texture pack.

It could be an issue with the texture pack, but are you using Optifine or similar?
Some texture packs don't function correctly without a proper HD texture pack patch.
