I personally dont really mind the PVP after 1.9, but if I ever play bedwars or something, I usually switch to 1.8,9

I've played Minecraft Java Edition for so long, I don't even remember my reaction and adjustment to the PVP change. This was before stuff like 1.13 came out, when I paid closer attention to the features that were added/changed (the horse model change was the first thing that really upset me).

It's ok. Takes some getting used to after only playing Bedrock for 8 years.
