Downloading Worlds
Can anyone tell me, step by step, how to correctly download a world? I tried to download a Harry Potter world but I had no idea how to do it.
Thanks so much!

ok im not on mac but i will try to help,
open minecraft, click edit profile, open game dir, saves, and put the folder there (if it is zip, open it up and get the normal folder from there)
Mac is a little different. You download the map, place it in the minecraft save folder within Libraries>Application Support>Minecraft (at least that is where mine is). Place the save there, and it will automatically be accessed when you start up minecraft and choose the world
For a step by step (if needed):
-Download map (will be in .zip or .rar format)
-for .zip, archive will automatically open it, for .rar, there are a few free programs that will open it the same way. It will be in your Downloads file in your main user folder
-Take the entire folder and transfer it to MainUserFolder>Library>Application Support>Minecraft>saves
-open Minecraft application
-select the world (will automatically be in your directory)

Thank you, but for some reason when I do that it just doesn't appear.
Type in %appdata% in the windows button or home if on windows 8 the find roaming open it and .minecraft and stick the extracted map folder into the saves folder in .minecraft folder. Open MC and taddaaa you have a map!
Is it the same thing for on a Mac?
