Help With Hair Shading

Im relatively new to skinning, and have devised a shading system which I think is good enough for PMC , but I do not know for the life of me how to shade hair no matter how many tutorials I've read/seen, could someone talk me through how to do it with pictures if possible? Thanks!

Pallete shading. Tons of existing tutorials for beginners like you so google it, i wont waste time repeating words.
