i downloaded a world, but how do you add it to the game to play in it? i dont want to mess it up and im still newish and am not sure what to do. thank you for any and all help

sweet!! yes i have windows 8 and i couldnt find the .minecraft folder, just the minecraft one and couldnt find the save folder in that, thank you so much!!
Assuming you're on windows 7 if you go inter the startmenu searchbar and type %appdata% then find the .minecraft file there you just need to put it in the saves folder.
For WIN8, press the Windows Key + R to open the "Run" box. From there, the steps are the same as they are for WIN7.
