Vanilla Minecraft is fun, but who doesn't love to spice it up a little.

Resource packs add character, but why just settle with character changes rather than explosive changes? Why change what already exists rather than add even more? There are many ways to do this.

Mods can change virtually anything, but are very advanced and complex to create.
Data packs are officially supported and require less experience.
Add-ons are similar to data packs, but are the only option available for bedrock users. They are even easier to make but have less potential.

Which do you prefer?
Feel free to explain why and correct me on issues with my descriptions.

I think add-ons are broken. I tried making one recently, but I couldn't get the custom block models I wanted. Some mob behaviors were also not performing as expected.

I'm all for datapacks. I've had more experience with them, and I know they work.

Datapacks are a lot easier to import on ANY computer, from what the pros use to my low-end dumpster fire.

Mods made my childhood and are the main reason I got into Minecraft, but I have to say datapacks
