So I just got FRAPS and usually my minecraft runs at a very high FPS,but when I record with FRAPS the FPS thing goes down to 7 FPS and becomes red, anything I can do?

Red = recording.
It probably goes to such a low FPS because your CPU can't handle it.

But my CPU is the best for every kind of game and game recording, its just when I record on minecraft it dies.

Some sort of godly toshiba laptop, its basically like an alienware, but shelled differently.
Have you tired putting the "max fps limit" higher?
On FRAPS? If I do it drops the FPS to like 2,in the .minecraft options? I set it to 500 FPS ,thats why it runs so good.
On fraps (try 30fps)
Did,it still lags.

Laptops aren't known for their amazing CPUs.
Tell me what CPU you have...

Dont know, all I know is that its better then my huge new pc.If I even play minecraft on that thing it will explode from lagging.
Laptops normally run on DualCore processors, that is why it might just be the bottleneck. Recording on laptops is very hard even if you have top-of-the-list laptop.
If you don't know what is your CPU, I recommend running CPU-Z and check from there the info.
Last two Toshibas laptops I had broke down, also broke FuSi's laptop... Laptops, aaargh!

Ah,but this is no ordinary laptop,it has the highest quality PC's in it.
Personal Computers inside a laptop? Strange..
UPDATE:This only happens on servers, during single player its good.
You sound like you have no idea what you're taking about.
I don't believe you. Most laptops do have dual core.
On Windows 7, start > right click computer > properties > it will display system info.

This, just because you went to bestbuy ect. and they said "OH! This is the best laptop out right now!" doesn't make it some godly laptop, even if it does have say a i7 its probably running on board graphics or some poopy mobile Nvidia/AMD card.
I have a quad i7 and it runs games perfectly, I haven't tried recording with fraps yet.
Yup, I have a AMD Phenom II x4 945 and run minecraft, a server, and fraps fine with no lag
Graphics is a GTX560 over clocked

I forgot to say my GPU is an NVIDIA GT 450 (or 4 something) 2 gb dedicated. I'm really pleased with how it runs.
This is my first really nice laptop. I thought I'd give my desktop a break. (My desktop specs are above average too, 8 gb ram, 6 core CPU, not to list all the specs)

Lags for me in both multi-player and singleplayer.
But minecraft isn't laggy when not running.
I has free version so maybe thats why...
Anyone know a good legal free recording program thats not laggy...

We can't really help you much unless we know your computer specs. You can't just this its good or anything. For Windows 7 go to the start menu and right click on computers then go to properties. It will display your RAM and processor. For more in depth details type dxdiag in the start menu and it will open up all the specs. You can save that file and add it as a attachment.

Yea, I do a bit more gaming than Minecraft, so I'm not a big fan of laptops ^.^ Mainly because of the smaller sized screens (my laptop has a HDMI out but I dont have a HDMI monitor)

I use two 23" 1080p monitors for my desktop. :p
This laptop has a 1600x900 res. Not so bad.
Go to the system requirments lab and pick some game, like battlefield, if you cant run battlefield your computer isnt decent, then it tells you your computer specs below.
I hope your not referring to Battlefield 3. I have to disagree with this if you are.Battlefield 3 needs a very good graphics card to run the game along with good processor speed and such.
I have only 2GB of RAM.
Nvidia GeForce 8300 GS
Processor is a
Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2140 @ 1.60GHz (2 CPUs), ~1.6GHz
and 900GB of hard disk space. I can't run Battlefield 3 yet i can run most MMOs just fine. My graphics card doesn't run as well because it overheated once from the fan going bad. I would say my computer is pretty decent overall.
