When you are in PMC chat, some people use profanity.
When they do this, the word in question is replaced by " **** "
(This can depend on the amount of etters involved in the word)
Correct me if I'm wrong, but most likely, this shows up for moderators too.
This method can, and has, caused some mistaken profanity, like someone typing ***, rather than a dirty word being omitted.
So my suggestion is as follows:
When a regular user types a blacklisted word, eg, Cabbage, then other regular users would see this:
Aequotis: Eat my ******* 1:45:52
But this would not be the same for moderators+
They would see the word, without it being omitted, but with a red highlight:
Aequotis: Eat my Cabbage 1:45:52
This would mean that no mistakes would occur around blacklisted words in PMC chat.
Please discuss, and/or give suggestions to any possible changes to the above suggestion, in the comments.

That's exactly how it is right now for us
The reason we ban for when people are doing that, is because they are bypassing the swear filter. Because if somebody uses ****, it's pretty easy to tell what they are trying to say. We take that in the same form as cursing, so we ban them as well.

I was never a mod in this new chat 3.0, so I dunno if it's changed or not, but in 2.0 I remember that if someone does say a bad word, mods can click the stars thing (forgot the name xD) and it changes to the word.
I might be wrong though, been a year since last time I was a mod.

Maybe, but I made the mistake of typing ****, so if a mod did indeed attempt to click it, they would have realised it wasn't an omitted word.
