Very annoying glitch in my PC.
Ok, so i've gone just about everywhere and i have gotten no help for this problem:
For Christmas i got a new PC along with a graphics card. I think i installed it correctly in the PC, but it still uses the default Intel HD Graphics. This has gotten to the point to where I might go to GeekSquad. but I've tried everything, i have checked display settings, almost messed up my pc in BIOS settings, and i've tinkered with the Device Manager. I am on Windows 8.1.
Please Help!

xAstraahFully disable your other graphics card via BIOS.
Or just take it out.
Fully disable your other graphics card via BIOS. Also Windows 8.1 May Be A Problem.
Some Graphics Cards / Motherboards Do Not Currently Support Drivers / Hardware for Windows 8.1 So Downgrading to Windows 7 May Resolve Your Issue.
If you'd like some more help skype me: xAstraah

can we know your video card type?

Make sure you have the display wire (HDMI, DVI, whatever you are using) from the monitor connected to the graphic cards output, not the motherboards output.
I love my new laptop.
If so, your card won't be fully compatible with your new system. The exact same thing happened to me. Either buy a compatible Graphics Card or a new computer. Downgrading is very risky. I just bought a new PC since Windows 8 is a bitch.
I had this exact problem, have you ever upgraded the Operating System?
make sure the graphics card is connected to the power supply and use a sata cable if gpu's use sata cables i forgot if it has a sata cable and connect the monitor to the graphics card
