me and my best friend likes the sniffer because it was adding a plant, serious lack of plants, and it would spark up new mods that could lead to op stuff like sniffing out diamonds also its hard to say no to its face. the tuff golem would be my second vote, and rascal would come last

Wow, this might be the 20th plant loving MC player I've encountered here. No offense, but I always felt that the Lush Caves added quite a bit of new plants recently. What exactly do Minecraft plants need? More colors? (the flowers have a lot) Different sizes? What?

i think there should be a plant that grows spawn eggs or op stuff, so the sniffer can sniff out VERY COOL items.

Those would be nice, but here's the thing: if Mojang was going to add something that big in the form of a plant block or any other feature, they'd have to make a lot of other changes/additions to the game so it can fit. Balancing new features out is important. If for instance, they were going to give Survival access to spawn eggs, there'd have to be a catch or limit. The Elytra wings are very useful, but they have durability.
Also, I feel like if they were going to do something as crazy as that, it would've already been announced. It could've made for a more interesting Minecraft Live chat, don't you think?

This isn't to crush hopes or dreams, nor to be rude, but stuff like this whole plant speculation is what destroyed the mob vote. It doesn't matter who won, it's that almost no one stopped to use a little common sense before making a final decision. The question we should be asking ourselves is: "Is this something the game needs, or is this something that I want?" There is a difference. Obviously we can't just add a Shrek mob to Minecraft just because a few players want to see the ogre in an unrelated game. It's not what the game needs.

It was sad how little of a chance the Tuff Golem and Rascal had. But I'm still excited for the other stuff coming to 1.20!

I think the new plant thing is to the Tuff Golem as Among Us is to new game titles. It's old, repetitive stuff, and we need to expand in other areas. Yet, everyone freaks out when more is being done with Minecraft plants/Among Us.

I'm just waiting to see what kind of plant is in store for the sniffer simps who broke the vote. And I don't mean all the sniffer voters, I mean the ones who baited those who didn't know what all the options were yet, just as Dream did with his glow squid vote. They could be anyone, and that's what sealed the doom to this vote in the first place.
