I like windows 10 because it's more user friendly and uses less ram?
I mean the first thing I hate is that they got rid of the move to option where you can type where to move a file.
It's aesthetically pleasing but uses more RAM because of that.
There's nothing different between the two except that windows 11 is less user friendly and uses more RAM and processing power.

Windows Vista and Windows 8 are good.

I would have to disagree.
Windows 11 and its CORPORATE ART STYLE easily out-master the windows 10 and under (with the temporary exclusion of Windows 1.0 and ME).

... You know what I mean. Has nothing to do with your desk reply :) and yes... the practicality is that fabric encompasses what is necessary for the time period. So it uses what is capable of the largest cross section of compatibility... adds "backwards comp" which is B(&#$%^& but professionals beat it into submission anyway... Ppl don't use the latter above enterprise wide but for specifics... and only for certain things... no one likes to have someone control them ... Mint I love tho... but lets face it- I'm lazy, among other things :P.

I know Windows 11, but this version of Windows is not good to me.

neither, just use linux. it's better and doesn't cost £200
2
ah you telling me you wont a bo' oh' o' wo' ah'?
2
Windows doesn't cost £200, and Linux has compatibility issues with loads of programs
1
ok maybe it doesn't have to cost £200, but it's close as, and while linux makes you work a little harder, the control you get is well worth it
1
Windows is completely free if you play your cards right and sure you get more control on Linux but it still makes everything a hassle, which is not really what you want in a computer. Ease of use is always a win, and Windows provides that
1
that is your opinion, and you are entitled to it. i however quite like the dev tools and control you get from linux. (also it's not as much of a hassle as you think)
2
My husband is an avid linux fan and tried to use it faithfully for the last 3+ years. He has recently had to switch back to windows because program compatibility just isn't there for some 3d modelling programs and games.
I'd love to see linux become a windows competitor that actually holds up sometime in the future. Maybe steam deck will push along some serious progress.

I've been using Win11 for a few months now, never had issues with it. Sure its styling may not be fantastic but i am looking forward to that android emulator to be freed from the confines of the insider program.
1
you should update your windows to 11 as you can only use win 10 until 2025. Besides that , win 11 make games smoother.
1
I a zillion % agree with you, but I don't own Windows 10 nor 11 yet. I'm stuck on this 'stupid' macOS.
1
Mac computers and software are actually very high quality, but the only problem with it is that MacOS can only be installed on apple-made pcs. If you have Windows, Linux, or really anything else, you can put anything you want in your pc. I use Mac to make my resource packs and manage my PMC account, as it's file editor is more simple and understandable (and the browser is better), but I always use my other pc (w/ Windows 10) for Minecraft and other games.
1
well you should start playing mc on windows 11 it has better, fluent gameplay and has 4k textures and it has like like like like like like like 240fps
1
Uhhhh...
I have an Nvidia RTX 2080 in my pc so I already have smooth performance of at least 330 fps and max 1683 fps... (I recorded it)
Also 4k textures were already available via resource pack

I also use Windows 10 still as Windows 11 blocks most PCVR features that Win10 lets you use
1
that's it
you're banned from Windows 10 and now you have Windows™ 11 FOREVER until the next one releases, cuz
DUH

1
no, windows 10 can still be used beyond that point, that's just when they end updates for it
2
I really like doing vr games on my pc, but Windows 11 does not support most vr features, so I stick to Windows 10.
1
windows 10 cuz i don't use windows 11
2
Windows 11 has a great ui but is lacking a lot of windows 10 features and has a lot of performance issues and other glitches.
2
well when I get it ill be suuuuuuuuuuuuper careful and wait for major bug fixes to be released.
1
Windows 11 really isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be, but it also isn't the best.
1
agreed.
it is THE best.
it is THE best.
2
Totally missed my point, but okay...

"Totally missed my point, but okay..."
That is a summary of this entire thread.

I don't like the changes they made with 11
like when you right click on something you dont have 7zip directly in the list of options if you install it
or like the task bar overall :/
Too many little things that i currently dislike, i'll wait with upgrading to 11 :D

How is Win10 plain, they have basically the same design? Win11 just has rounded corners and a more flat design, as well as a much more complicated interface. Like what GamerBoyManuel16 said, you have to do more stuff to access 7-ZIP or just a lot of useful stuff is hidden away.
Whatever, Windows 7/Vista had the best interfaces of any Windows versions by far. The Aero theme was so cool.

People always criticise a newer version of Windows upon release. Once you actually upgrade though, you'd realise that it isn't actually that bad.

agreed

Hot take: they all suck
