Mario Party 7: Minecraft Edition map and mod updates, and more!
  • About

Since 2019, I started recreating my all-time favorite video game, Mario Party 7, in Minecraft 1.12.2. (It's the reason I love video games today!)

Even though I've been posting my updates to my map and mod on my profile page, I wanted to reach a wider audience and show even more people how dedicated I am to finishing this, no matter how long it takes, and no matter the delays I may come across while I'm on this journey!

While you all are here, I plan on doing the same thing I was doing before. Anytime I update my map and mod, I'll make posts and updates in this group too. I'll also post teaser images of what I'm currently working on so you all will have something to look forward to until the next update! :D

I'm new to being in charge of a group, so I'll try my best to keep on communicating with all of y'all as much as I can. Thank you for understanding! :D

Hey guys! I thought I'd let y'all know that I'm currently trying to finish the other parts in Pagoda Peak which are the dragon head, the lion that's usually on fire, and also the rockets near the bottom of the map that act as a shortcut.

Since I'll be using the Chisel & Bits mod for the first 2 I mentioned, it'll probably take a little while longer to finish those than I'm planning, so I'm sorry ahead of time if it seems like it's still taking a while.

For now on, I'm going to be posting the same messages that are on here over on my Discord too, so feel free to join! :D

    Frequently Asked Questions

Will Mario Party 7: Minecraft Edition be available for Minecraft Bedrock?
As of right now, I've only created a map and mod for Minecraft Java. In the future, possibly after I become completely finished with my map and mod, I'll try and see if I'm able to create a version for Bedrock.
Where can I download the materials for the map and/or mod?
There are at least 2 different locations you can find everything you need:

    1. The buttons directly below the screenshots where you're viewing the map or mod.
    2. In the descriptions of both the map and mod.
      A. The links in the descriptions will be bolded and underlined

(I tried to organize the description as best as I could without making it look too confusing or cluttered so you can find what you need.)
Why does it take you so long to post an update to the map and mod?
Well, just like everyone else in the world, I've got a job I have to work at, so I can make money to live and pay bills, which in turn helps me pay for electricity to be able to make videos on YouTube and update my map and mod some more.

If I was able to live how I want, I'd play Minecraft all the time and you all wouldn't have to wait almost half a year or more before I'd be able to update my content again.

    Questions for Mariojacob7red

What drove you to recreate a Nintendo game in Minecraft?
I remember one day, when I was sitting in my college dorm room, I had nothing to do and I just started thinking, "I've always wanted to see what it would be like to play my first ever video game in Minecraft!". So, I first tried searching all around the internet on CurseForge, the old Minecraft Forum website, lots of other Minecraft websites that host maps and mods, but I couldn't find any regarding Mario Party 7 specifically (or any Mario Party games at all).

So, even though I knew it was going to take me forever to finish my map, I got started on a random seed world (which turned out to be a really good map!) and began creating the MSS Sea Star!
What made you want to create a mod?
Originally, I was never planning on creating a mod. Just a map. I don't remember exactly when, but I came across MCreator. That's what I've been using to create my mod, and I've been sticking with using a specific version of it (the last version they made to officially support 1.12.2 of Minecraft, before they created a plugin to download for newer versions).

I'll come back and add what made be want to create it when I remember it a little bit better. Lol.
