What is our purpose?

In short, we are an association of builders who believe that Minecraft, along with other online accessible platforms, is the future of learning in the modern world. We want to take full advantage of the tools in the game as well as our knowledge of classical architecture to bring the future generations of architects and hobbyists the means to further learn about the age of antiquity. Our goals can be accurately summed up in our Order's Ethos:

To pursue greatness in all things architecturally classical.
To bring about a new wave of antiquity in this modern age.
To centralize artistic talent and philanthropic desires among like-minded individuals.
To inspire future generations of architects for a hope-filled future.

In addition, the Order of Vitruvius also serves as an honor society for the most brilliant and talented minds of classical architecture in Minecraft. Though there is no one single best builder or architect in the game, this Order serves as the benchmark to who can be considered among the greatest.

How can I join?

Membership into the Order of Vitruvius is by invitation only. Though there is no specific criteria, we do look for the following in potential candidates:

Possesses a passion for the classics -- whether Greek or Roman -- particularly in architectural studies.
Demonstrates talent and an accurate usage of classical architectural elements in one's builds.
Includes a unique touch in one's builds, whether through recreations or inspired builds, so long as they do not plagiarize others' work.
Ideally publishes their work and is willing to share their knowledge of classical architecture for the betterment of others.

Do you publish any content?

Currently, the Order of Vitruvius does not publish any individual, sponsored, or collaborated content. However, we do feature and promote the published content of current members on our PMC page.
