Aaaalright, the jam's over!

Believe it or not, it's actually a tie between Yorthav's Eve and Sausdaus's E-volution!

Unfortunately, I got REALLY busy toward the end of this week, so I couldn't hand any extra awards yet.

I will focus on giving more, even if the jam ended. Going forward I'll try to be a lil' more high quality, cause this IS my first jam.

Why the tie? Both of them pretty much encapsulated the weirdness of this jam best. Both of them had a direct tie to the letter, and clearly had a lot of passion to the letter like no one else in this jam. They were also distinct in how they showed this distinction, one opting for a simple E-spirit that encapsulated it's existence in history, and the other dedicating a high-detailed, lore-filled skin that portrayed that same mysticism through her eternal, inspiring beauty.

Well done everyone. No matter the rating. I'm proud of what you all did.

Look out for another E Jam on E-day next year. I'll make sure it's FAR bigger than this one.

EXTRA AWARDS: Low Quality Edition because I didn't properly prepare for this:

Backstory Point Abuse Award

Okay, okay, I GET IT. I included the point there, so I expected backstories, and reasonably, should expect to have to sit down and read. But this skin went FAR beyond anything I've ever seen. This isn't just some random description. No, this was a FULL FLEDGED STORY, written for this jam, DEDICATED to this single letter. I don't know whether I should be proud, or worried, or both, but this person gave it their all. I read all of it. All 4032 words of it, and let me say that I am simply just astounded. Completely. I won't spoil any details, so if you wish to read it, see it for yourself. It's worth it.

This award goes to Yorthav. You have surpassed my expectations, but please. Give that keyboard, or whatever you write with a well-deserved break. It's probably begging for it.

EXTRA AWARDS: Low Quality Edition because I didn't properly prepare for this:

"math nerd alert award"

As a genuine math nerd, seeing the E-Formula make it's way into the jam somehow made my E-shaped heart grow 2.72 sizes. I also didn't expect this to somehow make it here, since I have very rarely seen a skin with actual, LITERAL math on it. Not to mention it's "lore," which... is actually really good at encapsulating both the extreme complications of math, as well as the suffering it brings to students across the world for it's needless complication.

This skin is one of many that truly encapsulates what this jam is all about; the letter E, in as many different ways as physically possible.

This award goes to CookieOwl. You made me proud, but also a little concerned.

"how did you even make this connection award"

There were a lot of skins with amazing ideas, backstories, and other things related to E, but when I saw THIS in the jam, I had to genuinely sit back for a moment, analyze everything I knew about E, and then be completely dumbfounded when Lord Farquaad, the goofy moron from Shrek, because of some random music piano man, has a connection to Rush E, and hence was a completely legitimate entry for this competition.

I’m going to be rating entries for a bit, but I’ll start giving extra awards starting tomorrow! They aren’t based on anything besides a certain quality that made the skin stand out.

Aighty, we got some people in here! Well, welcome aboard the E Empire!

With a ton of time left, I’d like to give some cool pro tips, especially since in my opinion this is a very weird jam.

Most of y’all do this anyway (this is mostly for new peeps who haven’t submitted yet) but if you include something in the description, it REALLY can help with judging the skin for creativity points. Sometimes I won’t get a reference (cause I can be dumb when it comes to knowing internet stuff), meaning I could very well misjudge your skin simply cause I don’t get the reference.

Other times a well-written description that compliments the skin (meaning that the description doesn’t just describe but provides symbolism, explains what parts mean, or tells a story) can help significantly with the rating. And it helps me too, rather than going for pure interpretation. Even if it doesn’t relate EXACTLY to the letter, I will still appreciate it.

Also do know that composition, while important is not completely necessary to win. I am looking for creative twists on the concept ultimately, so keep that in mind. (just don’t make a skin for some worst skin contest and post it here). I appreciate skins of all kinds, whether that is an extremely detailed skin with lots of little intricacies and had god’s hand on their lighting, or something with a simpler style but with eye-catching colors and hue shifting. Go crazy!

And for those on the fence who haven’t joined: if you don’t win, thats okay. That doesn’t mean I don’t like your skin or something (believe me y’all have wowed me so far), it’s just that because this is a contest, there has to be a winner. Besides, the ultimate goal is E-related skins, the competitions just for fun…

and I mean you get a golden silver or bronze e so honestly you don’t get a lot besides some sponsors.

Also…

If there are enough submissions to justify (maybe like 10) I’ll be willing to give “extra awards” for specific skins that stood out in a certain way, so some people get to get a chance at the limelight too!

shameless e jam advertisement (posting it here for jam purposes, also wanted it on my wall so sorry if y’all saw this already I just want a cool advent here)

it is exactly one day until the awak”e”ning begins. The day that will cumulate into a month filled with E. August, one of the months who has rejected the E, will be filled to the brim with as many E skins as physically possible. When this month ends, PMC will be FILLED to the brim with the legions of E. E will define every single corner of this website, and no one will ever be able to escape the clutches of the best English letter in the alphabet.

That is, if YOU make it possible.

Currently, we have three brave warriors who are giving their lives to further the cause of E, but that is not enough if our master plan is to come to fruition. We need more brave folk like YOU PMCers.

Your goal? To make the most dedicated and unique E-related skin possible. Albert Einstein, Mercedes E-Class, Euler, Europium, it alll comes together here.

Don’t be scared of failure; regardless if you win or lose, you will have contributed to the cause and shall reap it’s benefits (plus you got in my opinion the best trophy).

And if you aren’t a godsend from the heavens, that’s okay too! The competition part is for fun: what I really want is as many E skins as possible. And besides, I’m a pretty chill guy no need to be scared.

Anyway, get out there and make the E-Lord PROUD! FOR SUPER E!!!
