The jam will be judged by a hand-picked judge team consisting of Datapack Hub and PMC staff.
What is Datapack Hub?
Datapack Hub is a project led by PMC members that initially started as a PMC group, but is now an active community around all things Datapacks. Check us out!

Rules

Can we team up?
Yeah! Feel free to collaborate with a couple of friends to make your pack even better.
Can we use library packs or reuse old code?
In most cases, you’re allowed to use a library pack to help you do something. However, it must be included within the downloadable, and obviously stated in the description. Aside from that, the content must be originally created for this jam.
What classifies as a “Halloween” themed datapack?
The theme is largely up to interpretation - we judge your pack on how spooky it is, how creative the idea is, and how polished/completed your pack is. However, if it’s obvious that the project has no relation to the theme whatsoever, then it may be disqualified.

Judging

Who judges the submissions?
We’re still finalising a team of judges. However, they will consist of Datapack Hub and Planet Minecraft staff.
What is the Spookiness Factor?
One of the criteria we judge submissions on is the Spookiness Factor (1-10). This is basically how spooky your pack is, or in short, how well it fits in with the Halloween theme. A high spookiness factor would suggest that you put a lot of effort into making your pack fit the Halloween theme very well!
What is the Polishedness factor?
The Polished-ness factor (1-10) is how polished and completed your datapack is. If your project has bugs, then that will negatively affect the polished-ness factor. Part of the fun is making sure your project is good enough to be used nicely within the time limit.
What is the Creativity Factor?
The creativity factor (1-10) is based on how fun or creative your idea is, and how much effort you put in to making it unique.
