About

The Lego Riddle Master

Season I

Welcome to the Riddle Master, where you can compete to solve 10 riddles correctly for a badge honoring you as one of the greatest geniuses of all time (maybe not but you can believe that about yourself)!

The object is to make a blog listing your 10 answers to each of the 10 riddles listed in the Riddles widget on the jam's page (make sure to include the numbers!). You get a max of 3 hints in order (which are for all 10, so requesting one hint gives the hint for all 10), but remember that the more hints you request, the lower score you have when judging begins!

There is also a Master Puzzle that will give you a higher score (therefore a better chance at winning) if solved correctly. Like the other riddles, you get 3 hints that also give you a lower score for how many you've requested. The Master Puzzle is separate from the 10 riddles hint-wise. If you don't attempt the puzzle, you get a score of 3 for the Master Puzzle criteria, but if you do and you answer incorrectly, you get 0, regardless of how many hints you didn't request. If you do answer correctly, you get 4 plus how many hints you haven't requested.

Below are the rules that disqualify an entry if any are broken:
  1. Do not cheat (no using the Internet to find answers or aid in finding an answer, no asking others for help or the answer, etc.)
  2. Do NOT share hints with others, even those who aren't participating in the jam (for they can in turn share it with a participant)! This is much more serious than the other two rules.
  3. Follow the blog entry format and try your best to make it neat and use grammar and spelling as best as you can. Also, you can add stuff in your entry that isn't in the format as long as everything in the format is added (also nothing against PMC rules but that should be common sense). The format is in a widget on the jam page.

Note: This isn't a rule but it is recommended. Make sure to take your time and think about your answers thoroughly. You have a whole month so don't feel rushed (unless you start late so try not to do that). :)

This jam is held every other month, with one month being time to submit an entry and the beginning of the next being when judging happens. The very first jam starts in December 2025 for reference.

Have fun and happy riddling!
