Well, honestly: If they would be to stop developing minecraft now, just added some more potions and some cool mobs - would that be minecraft? Minecraft's essential part ARE the updates that continuously change it. And for real, the game would loose at attention if it stayed like that. And I couldn't even play minecraft anymore, because I no longer have the suspense what might come with the next update, I no longer can be happy about cool new features! That's what I connect with Minecraft since I play it for 1,5 years without a break! I'm really happy with the recent changes and especially with the whole community "team-work" mojang does. Minecraft is a community-based game which always comes up with great new ideas that inspire you to build new things! But yes, sometimes I really love to go back to older versions, or watch YT-MC-videos a year or two old! That gives such a nice retro feel to it!
