In case you don't follow me on Twitter here is a collection of screenshots from recent builds! I also want to continue posting a mixture of projects such as unique engines, examples like the Erie Triplex and the Norfolk & Western Jawn Henry, and larger projects of a single theme, like the GO trains. I think these larger projects will be either based on a specific locomotive model with different liveries or multiple engines and rolling stock from a specific company. So perhaps a project with multiple EMD SD40-2s or a CSX pack. We'll have to see but now the screenshots!

Decided to take a few screenshots of a freight train passing through my farming area and I think it's looking good. The areas far from done but at least I can start showcasing builds here. I've updated a huge portion of my railroad builds, (locomotives and rolling stock), and you can see it a bit here.

So here's some updates on the farm build.
I've gotten a large portion of the trees in now and started doing more ground covering. So far I like it.
The farm yard itself has also gotten some good progress. I've got the house in, a garage, the main storage/workshop for the farm, a storage shed(not shown here) and the grain bins are almost done too.
Lots of detailing left to do but it's starting to really look like a farm to me.

I also have been attempting some tractors, as you can see, so far I have a John Deere with tires and one with tracks and I've attempted a Case Quadtrac. Not sure how much I like these, but I'll keep playing around with them

So I'm starting a new area to take screenshots of railroad builds in. My initial thought was to just builds some fields along the side of the tracks, maybe a forested area behind to disguise the horizon and a grain elevator to tie it into the railroad.

However I have wanted to build a farm for a long time now, the grain elevator must be close to 2 years old, but I wasn't sure how I wanted to do it. With all the other scenery areas I have done I felt ready to tackle this project. My goal is a single farm property surrounded by several fields. The grain elevator will be serviced by the line running through the area.

I'm already having a blast building this and so I might extend this scene well past the railroad tracks. If that's the case it'll be more of its own seperate project rather then background scenery for my railroad builds.

The areas shown here are far from done but theres enough done that I wanted to share, get some feedback, and to document the progress.

So I'm trying to build some background scenery so I can have various locations for screenshots of trains. The size of it all is a bit bigger then I initially planned but I'm making progress! The landscapes are pretty barren right now but with some trees and ground coverage these should really come to life. I'm hoping for a few sort of distinct locations, rail lines running along the side a lake/river, fields, and a log yard. Plus some bridges and a tunnels for some fun shots too!

I've done some GO Transit trains before, (an EMD F59PH and a bilevel coach), but I've been improving my entire railroad collection. So here's my new EMD F59PH, bilevel coaches, and two new additions to my collection, and EMD FP7A and a bilevel coach cab car.

I posed the same question on twitter but I'm curious if anyone could guess what locomotive this is?

It's a bit unfair because the engine was a really dull blue it seems, but in game I can only make it grey or dark blue. But seeing as it's been over a week, I'm willing to give out the answer, if you want.

This is going to drive me insane now. Upon searching for the locomotive. I keep coming to "Blue mountain and northern railroad" and can find very similar locomotives, but not this one =/

Anyone want to buy some used diesel locomotives? I promise they've only been lightly used!

Truth be told, I built all this as background scenery in the railyard I use to build trains. I enjoy being able to look at something interesting in the distance.

Thanks! I haven't done a scrapped SD70M yet but I do have a few more engines I want to do scrapped versions of. I'll have to check out FoxShot again some time, you guys have some cool railroad builds

The engines are 3 blocks wide so they dont exactly fit inside the locomotive but when the locos are all cut up and being scrapped it works. Its kinda fun in a way to take locomotives and just break them down. I say give it a go

Looks good. Really like the detailed engines. I have tried to do them in my locomotives, but seem to have trouble with a one block wide space in the middle, at least with my engines. This might have inspired me to try some "slightly used" heavy equipment in the future. Like my 1978 D9h dozer lol

After taking a break from Minecraft for quite a while, I'm finally back and finishing up a number of projects. I have completely overhauled my railroad fleet and as a little sneak peak here's the new EMD SD40-2 vs the old one
