I've been reading many other blogs that have the same topic. A lot of people cannot connect to one of their multi-player servers. I personally think think that Minecraft.net is down, and Minecraft will be back to normal soon. Another possibility is that 1.3 is coming out RIGHT NOW but that doe not seem likely because Jeb posted on twitter that 1.3 should be coming out around August 1st. (Did he lie to us to make us happy when it does come out???) Also some people believe that the servers are acting weird which is HIGHLY unlikely due to many many servers, if there was something wrong with a server wouldn't it be weird that all the servers are down? Anyways I hope this problem is resolved soon and that we may go back to playing together on multi-player servers. ~Be happy and don't give up hope!!! ~(^_^)~
