    Happy (early) New Year! and some projects I'll be working on soon (for anyone curious)


    This year, if you didn't know, is the 60th anniversary of Thunderbirds - an old TV series I've taken quite an interest in adapting to Minecraft as of late. Because of this, I've tried but failed to work on something to put here for it - which I do intend to work on soon enough - as I ended up trying to do too much and burning myself out from it. I have still got something Thunderbirds-related to show for it (a jam entry earlier this year), but not much, so as a then-late celebration of Thunderbirds' 60th anniversary, I'll be working on 3 anniversary projects from the new year and onwards. Those are, in order of how soon I'll probably release them


    Project TB1

    Expected release date: Early 2026


    This one's for people looking for accuracy to the original design(s), and less so on a spin on them. For this project, I'll be making (roughly) scale versions of Thunderbird 1 from the main 3 shows/adaptations*, and possibly even ones from shows that didn't make the cut or from concept art.


    *(those being the original TV series in 1965, the 2004 movie and the 2015 TV series)

    Project RDTI

    Expected release date: Late 2026-Early 2027 (depending on the scale of the project)

    (short for Redesigned Tracy Island)


    This project's for those curious about my (or generally a new) personal spin on the designs of the craft and island. For this project, I'll be remaking Tracy Island, where the Tracy family live and International Rescue operate from, as well as IR's rescue craft hidden within the island. I'll be introducing my own personal ideas to the designs, while sticking to the main ideas of each craft and main structure (although the structures & buildings won't be too similar to the originals compared to the craft).


    Also, this was the original one I worked on this year, so I'll probably be rebuilding the exterior from scratch but not necessarily the craft, just so you know.



    Project GRF

    Expected release date: 2027 or very late 2026 (depending on how long the other projects take/how busy I am)


    Finally, this project's a more experimental one based on an idea I've had sitting around for a while. It explores an alternate universe where, early in its formation, International Rescue was adopted by a world government of sorts and was rebranded into the Global Rescue Force. For this one, the craft will be completely new, only similar to the corresponding Thunderbird craft in purpose.

    Also, there'll be a new base of operations as well - the craft and members will be housed on a large ship of sorts so it can travel across the sea to wherever if it's needed, such as for a large-scale or longer rescue mission.


    Summary

    As such, throughout the next couple of years, I'll be working on 3 projects as a late celebration of the 60th anniversary of Thunderbirds, hopefully getting my ideas out there, celebrating the anniversary and becoming a better builder through these projects even if not many people see them.
