    Hey guys, its me again... I have finally gotten enough courage to finally stamp the "1.0 Release" onto my server, The Celestial Expanse.

    Its still a little rough, but all the code & mechanics are there!

    It has everything I've had on my features-to-be-added Todo-wishlist over the course of these 10 years.

    A major event for myself and many others, is nearly here...


    I, for one, am very much excited.

    The Celestial Expanse (My server) is almost... a decade old. 10th year Anniversary

    This is less of a dedicated day, and more a threshold of time around when this place kicked off.
    (From August 25th to around September 15th)

    - Working player-built Starships, Tanks & more

     - An entirely unique and extremely flexible factory system.

    - Asteroids to harvest, Wreckage to sift through and salvage

    - Dozens of unique Planets & Worlds to explore

    - New Tools, New Weapons, New Mobs

    - Dangerous NPC/"AI" Pirate ships

    - And a wide variety of new cosmetic and functional blocks...

    The possibilities are nearly as endless as the void.

    The Celestial Expanse Minecraft Server, is nearing its first 1.0 Release version, and I am extremely excited.

    After almost 10 long years...


    Things have been falling into place faster than ever before.

    Planetary Terrain generation is far more efficient than it was even weeks ago, despite the ever increasing complexity.

    The server software in use, is definitely helping tons with all aspects of performance.

    I am beginning work on in-game mini-documentation, through a quick "/help" command.

    This is to assist with players learning how to use all the new things I have added...

    So!

    If anyone here knows the games "Satisfactory" or "Factorio"; then the industry/automation system I have created might be right up your alley.


    The above photo is of an early contraption, a massive mess of pipes and cables, for the mass-production of different important components.
    Automation might be challenging to grasp, but it is increasingly rewarding once you invest the time and energy to learn how.




    If you love the aspect of exploring vast, unique worlds, like in "No Mans Sky". (Which I know I do) We've got you covered, with over 30 Planets.
    Each planet holding at minimum, around 100 different Surface Biomes; as above, so below...

    Vast cave systems and chasms to explore and extract minerals from with a wide variety of different cave types.

    Not one world is identical.

    The above photo is of a massive valley between an extinct volcano, and a heavily forested mountain. This earth-like planet is known as "NovaTerra". You could probably guess why...




    And lastly, if you happen to be more of the active-type of player, wanting to go out into space, fight NPC Pirates, Run Quests/Contracts or Freight Cargo from place to place? Well we have that too.


    The above photo is of a massive, approximately 3.15 Million Block, Leviathan-clased Battleship.
    The particular series this massive ship is from, is called The Expanse.
    As much as I love that TV/Book Series, I don't feel like I could do it justice with a Minecraft Server, that is why I refuse to align this project with any one SciFi Franchise/Universe.

    TLDR; Despite having some similar names; The Celestial Expanse shares much less in-common any existing SciFi Series than one might expect at first glance.

    Behold!!! A new system Im prototyping out, its taken a lil over 2 days to get this working to this degree. Next up... refining and documenting.

    Man time flies by, it was the start of the school year in 2015~16, when I started on a journey.
    I didn't know where it'd lead me, nor what it would take, but I started anyways.

    Fast forwards 9+ years later, I'm still marching, kicking and clawing, my way onward.
    With a general goal in mind; to make the most intricate and technically impressive Server that this game has ever seen.

    The time nears, it is about time to start our engines, and plunge even further into the void, where none have ever gone.

    It hasn't been easy, but my good friends have made it possible to get this far, now I'm looking for more people to contribute to this mega-projects continuation.

    My server, my passion project, my work of art...

    It has come and gone.

    The 9th Anniversary of The Celestial Expanse.
    (Late August-Mid September; around that time).



    Man, its been a wild ride so far...

    In just this 9th year, so much has happened!

    New Custom Mobs, Redesigned Planets (Over 25 of them), And overall the server is slowly inching towards a more polished project.


    Many close calls with quitting, but I always came back for more, not giving up, not just yet.

    However, at the time I am writing this, I am still not fully confident in actually promoting this labor of love. As the Founder, Owner, and only Developer of the Server, It is a lot of work.

    I have always been scrambling to fix bugs & performance issues from the moment they get reported.


    This is why I am reaching out, to whoever may listen: I could use some help. Promotion/Advertising has always been a hard thing for me, as I am not a particularly outgoing person, I really have to push myself to communicate with people.

    If anyone is willing to contact me (I don't know where or who to contact others), that would be much appreciated.

    Hey Planet Minecraft. Its been a while, time to kick things into gear for my Server, the Celestial Expanse. Expect more posts relating to that, if I can remember.

    I have picked up a new project to spend my time on.

    It's nowhere near as large and not nearly as serious as my main server, The Celestial Expanse, and is in collaboration with some friends/staff over at [​AlathraMC] ( JoeyJoeMan )


    This new Project is known as Stupid Game Server, and is in a semi-closed beta.

    The basic idea of Stupid Game Server is a classic & casual Minigames Server.

    Currently, there are no plans to add Bedwars, Skywars, "Boxes" or Survival Games.
    The above Gamemodes are too overused as a main attraction to Minigame Servers.

    Rather, we have currently implemented Class-based, Team-oriented Gamemodes, such as:

    Team Death Match
    Fight along side your squad and Kill Enemy Players to Score!


    Capture The Flag
    Capture the Enemy Team's Flag and bring it back to your own to Score!


    Control Points
    Fight for control over One or More Beacons to Score!

    There are still plans for additional Gamemodes, of which I will not specify just yet.

    Hot take
    UnderTale and Ultrakill are very similar in concept (but also very different in execution).

    Ultrakill: largely one man indie-game: fall down holes, kill monsters, kill bosses with epic backstories, who persist after death even without a real body.

    UnderTale (Genocide Route): largely one man indie-game: fall down a hole, kill monsters, kill bosses with epic backstories and souls that persist after death even without a body.

    Both: feature souls, have absolutely amazing sound tracks, and their enemies' attacks are bullethells.
    Both games protagonists are unstoppable killing machines.

    And as a Side Note, some of their soundtracks, when overlapped, sound about as good as the originals.
