I see this as the critical flaw of your suggestion. As Azie already pointed out, being a judge or high level isn't a valid measure of maturity/qualification for such a role. On top of that, members seen as mature, competent, and reliable enough for such a role who also have the time, energy, and conviction to do so much work are the same people new mods are selected from (at least last time i checked).

In all seriousness, several PMC mods have been MCF mods as well.
Either way, you should never give someone a rank on a server just because they claim to be someone famous or work for a major site. Unless you can verify their identity with certainty, and even then I'd be suspicious.

When I was admin on a server a while back, we'd get guys who came on the server claiming to be PMC mods. Sooooo much fun to toy with them. The sad part is, even when I explained who I am several didn't understand...

Hi there Morganoli, welcome to PMC and its vast community.
I hope you've read the rules by now, but if you haven't be sure to familiarize yourself with them.
If you enjoy building, perhaps you should upload some of your projects to PMC (as long as they comply with submission rules) so that others can see what you are capable of.

As far as #5 goes, I consider everyone under lvl 40 to be a low level. Why?
Because "high" and "low" are Relative terms.

And lvl 1s, 2s, 3s, etc. can easily be considered PMC noobs because that is almost entirely what they are. Not necessarily because they are new (though this is very common) but more because they have yet to experience "going up in the ranks" so to speak.

Being a "PMC noob" is nothing to be ashamed of, we all started somewhere (though not all of us were ever lvl 1), but remember that the stereotypes and distrust of low level users is based on a piece of truth: most rule breakers are lvl 1s, if only because they compose 99% of the site (by account #s) and members under 10 are still well over 90% of the PMC population.

Anyways, this will never happen, unless Cyprezz very drastically changes policy.

All you need is to use the members part of the site.
It is true that the member listings go down periodically, but not being subscribed to a bunch of users for a few days isn't going to harm you.
This thread has no purpose, PMC has enough "Elitist" member problems as is.

This is a well known issue called "scamming"

Complaining about the PMC servers again are we?
Forgetting the 5,000 to 14,000 members on the site at any given time of day? (Plus even more non-registered users)?
Ignoring the 800,000+ accounts and almost 900,000 submissions?

PMC is a large site, but expanding a site linearly (or exponentially) isn't as easy as it sounds.
And you are right, the SQL server is nowhere near as strong as it needs to be.

Also, yeah there are a lot of Americans on. But there are also a lot of Europeans (Minecraft was made by a Swedish guy after all), Asians, and people in the Americas besides the U.S.

If you only have 2gb of ram and you want 325 slots open plus room for admins and guests (i don't know what gusts mean as i thought the 325 slots covered guests) but still i think i'm being fair saying there are 75+ admins witch brings the total to 400+ if my math is correct. And i stated if you can hold 400+ players but not have that turn out that's fine and i would say i'm sorry and i was wrong. but i would like you to say i was right and say sorry for promising more then you can handle if you cant get a server with 400+ slot's. And i would like to know the date you are holding this "event" and how many players can you hold at one time ?
P.S I'm a man of my word and i stated if you could prove me wrong i would eat my words but if you prove me right i will have some "i told you so" posts coming your way.

Considering the staff list is public, you could have easily known that there is only 1 admin and that there are only 72 staff members right now, and only because of the recent promotions.

More importantly, you are forgetting something: Time zones. We are spaced across and around the world. Assuming he got a server up and running, I doubt it would get a full 325 members at any given time, and considering there wouldn't be even close to 75 mods on at once, it is unlikely it would get near 400.
However, even a 100 or 200 slot server is resource intensive.

As for the potential flame war, it really is just one guy hating on this, rather than sitting back and getting ready to be amazed or amused.

Know what I find funny? that you are asking for a name for your pack before you even make the pack.... Make (or at least start) it first, then either the name will come to you, or you should start asking.
