I agree, lol I used to be a moderator of a popular minecraft server that got about 30-40 people a day! It is not easy, especially when I got so many requests by players to be a moderator. Sadly that server is no longer up, due to staff corruption. On that server that I became a moderator on, it took me 2 months by following the rules, being very active, being moderately good at building buildings, also not breaking any of those rules. I hope that the noobish stuff I did on Planet Minecraft Forums didn't ruin any time of being a possible moderator in the future. I regret posting a few rather n00by posts on the forums. I didn't read the forum rules at first, and broke the 'mini mod' rule thing. I regret doing that, and acting noobish. Thank god that I read the rules for the Planet Minecraft forums. and only accidently broke 2 of them. I sure hope that does not ruin any possible chances in the future to become one. Yes I agree with creeperCarole , asking for moderator status, sure does slim your chances.
Especially when someone on that minecraft server I used to play on asked "Can I be a Mod". My response would be on that minecraft server to: follow the rules, stop asking to be mod, wait until jasondan (The owner of the server) asks them if they want to , Most of the same things apply here.
