You don't always have to buy a host, if you have a good idea in mind sometimes server hosting companies will do a partnership with you. But thanks for that guide very detailed and nice for those who are interested in starting a server!

Custom plugins areusualu customly coded for just that certain server that ordered it, and usually those servers don't release those custom plugins. But like samistine said most plugins are configuratable so u can change a lot of stuff in them.

Your trunk scam people, I wouldn't believe anyone that's saying they wil sell you YouTuber info on planet Mc. Most of this server stuff is happening on spiggot forums and that's where most YouTubers actually look for people who will pay them to get promo on their server.

For everyone who's thinking of buying this persons service I would advice not to, he is most likely a scammer.

From my person experience, its not that easy to figure out how to build well using videos. best way is to get either free hosting/host private server and start messing with world edit/trying to make something cool. Watching videos mainly helps your mind but not your work! If you cant host a private server or dont know how to set up world edit and such I would recommend you going to FreeMineHost.tk and they show some decent private host companies that will offer you free minecraft servers.

If you really want some serious servers to offer you help its best to get some portfolio ready. A lot of server accept applications through their websites/private emails for example MineHeroes.com (server I play a lot on) accepts applications through an email to keep it all private and spam free on forum. I would recommend you getting a protfolio of your best builds and then sending it to some seriously big servers , but here you will mostly get either advert servers or starting server or just server that go down in a few days of work .
