Not many birds today...

Didn't see many birds today but it was very windy and very cloudy. Except in the morning, when I saw two European starlings eating together and then looking at each other. They came back in the afternoon, with the pigeon. Then... the common redpolls didn't come back! It's nice to see them once but to see them every day is better. I will try to put thistle, which is supposed to attract them... the goldfinches will also be happy with that!

Today was a great day for bird watching! :D

This morning, I look at the birds as usual, then there I see on the ground... a common redpoll! My favorite bird is the common redpoll and since the beginning of winter, it has been my main objective to see one because in fact, I had never seen one in real life. But now I see some! Other than that there were lots of birds today, a bit of American Tree Sparrow, a bit more Dark-eyed Junco, lots of Goldfinches, Mourning Doves, the pigeon, the return of the Common Grackle, a female Hairy Woodpecker (it's been a long time since I've seen hairy woodpeckers!) The little pair of downy woodpeckers and a few blue jays. It really was a great day for birdwatching... I hope to have more like this and I really hope that the common redpolls will stay and not leave like the pair of purple finches!

I continue to keep up to date with what is happening with the birds on my property (yes, yesterday I forgot).

Today, there weren't many birds on my property...
it's that in the morning, there were dozens of birds, so I didn't want to go out to deposit seeds, so as not to scare them...
after I leave, a few hours later, I come back and saw that there was no food, they were gone.
I deposit some but it takes time before they come back.
So today wasn't much of a bird festival, except for a few mourning doves that ate the rest of the food in the morning. The goldfinches came back yesterday and today, the common grackle only came back yesterday and the American robin is gone.

Every day, I look at the birds that eat on my land, I tell myself that it would be a good idea for me to talk about the most interesting things I have seen every day! What do you think ? :)

This morning, I saw an American robin eating on the ground... I'm surprised, I thought they were leaving in the winter, in my area. A little later, I saw a goldfinch... it was the first time I had seen one in its winter plumage and it was interesting to see that the biggest birds didn't scare it! Then in the end, I saw a common grackle... this day was full of newcomers! I ended up learning that a pigeon that lives on my land has no group. From time to time he prefers to follow the doves which often come to eat on my property.
