Apparently the most efficient way to mine diamonds now is to pick the right spot and dig straight down. Doesn't result in profit for every instance, but, goodness sakes, it shabla works every time (except if other blocks overwrite it). Even if you mess up the spacing, the vein is always on the north-south line.

Critiquing my thought process here after the fact, I can see a few things wrong with my game plan in the moment:
Firstly, I should have opened Garden instead of backtracking in such a small hallway.
And secondly, I wasn't quite within the effective range for shotgun most of the time near the end (tho I guess I was just playing it safe at that point).

Oh, of course. Death threats are not to be thrown around like that, but that should be the jurisdiction of the server owner and not microsoft. The reason for this is the same reason that state governments and local governments in the US handle things that the federal government does not, namely crime itself. This is partially because local governments KNOW better than the federal government how best to manage their specific areas. One universal method is not going to go over well in various parts of the country, not to mention you are literally just creating a police state that presides over a community with absolute power to destroy the lives of innocent and guilty people alike. This brings us to the fact that no one can avoid making a mistake when presiding over the fates of 100 million people, much less stay perfectly on top of all their activity, without automating the process at least partially. This means discretion, one of the main things server owners might use to justly determine a ban, is completely out of the picture and people will be held at the mercy of one or more automatic "triggers". That is one of the worst things you could possibly do. It's impossible to justify this.
May I also mention that death threats are an extreme and very straightforward area while some of the other pieces, namely hate speech (see your own comment), cheating, and spamming, are almost so gray you can't even separate them from what people do naturally. This is why discretion is important (and also why some cases end up in the supreme court). Crime isn't black and white.

To be honest, I really don't care. There are some valid reasons they're adding moderators to Minecraft. If you're literally giving death threats to someone in a Minecraft Realm/server for not having things your way, for example, you should be banned. There are limits to how you can act in any situation, the bannable offenses shown on minecraft.net are fairly valid, but maybe not for permabans.

My question is: How are they defining "hate speech"? If it's too broad a definition Microsoft will possibly end up losing half their online player base and any money they make from them, not that it really matters to them of course. Microsoft is a multi-billion dollar corporation after all.
