About Me

WELCOME MESSAGE

Hey there! Welcome to my Minecraft Workshop! Apart from Minecraft, I sometimes play Cities: Skylines as well. Here's the link to my Cities:Skylines Workshop.

Soon enough, you'll find out one interesting fact about my projects. Well, maybe not, because most likely you've noticed that already. So yes, indeed, since Hong Kong is my hometown, so most of my projects here are also about Hong Kong. Maybe you still haven't heard of Hong Kong yet, but don't worry, I've got you covered. Here’s a quick link to walk you through some of the interesting facts about this Asian city.

If food and shopping are the first impressions of Hong Kong for many people, then Victoria Harbour must be its most iconic appearance to the world! That's the harbour with one of the world's most beautiful skylines. The city also has the world's largest number of skyscrapers, so it's extremely easy to see traits of both functionalism and modernism in buildings here. What Hong Kong truly stands out from other cities is that it takes these concepts to the extreme. They're almost applied everywhere and have become omnipresent.

I'm an absolute enthusiast of functionalist architecture, and I'm especially into those boxy structures. Public buildings, such as those rental apartments and standard schools are among my primary interests. For me, this kind of building looks so clean, so lovely, so modern and so functional. Together with my unquestionable love for my hometown and my little habit to share my findings with others, I decided to publish these projects here on PMC so that more people around the world can have a vivid glimpse of Hong Kong's model of functionalism and appreciate all those crazy ideas behind it.

Le Corbusier is the master that I admire the most. His famous maxim "A house is a machine for living in" has always been my major inspiration to perceive Hong Kong's public housing models. In recent years, Hong Kong's public housing design has been rapidly advancing with new spatial arrangements, more complex unit forms, vivid colour schemes, and other interesting aesthetic elements. It's so exciting to see how functional beauty can also be achieved in various forms without the need to compromise uniqueness. Who says public housing must appear to be something boring? With proper design, they could also look vibrant, colourful, and lively.

Either way, I'd wish you a happy time exploring things here. Just feel free to message me if you have something to enquire about.
