    I was right. This game sucks anymore.

    I don't think minecraft's going to get any better. The other day I tried to find a '1.8 only' factions servers. I was taken back, because I had never failed to find one before. Despite that, I really couldn't find a single one, and all the servers that claimed to host it, were lying! You know, I really didn't want to be right. All I was trying to do was warn people, but it's fells like minecraft is no longer a game, and more like a social media network, like roblox.

    1.8 was held to such a high standard for the longest time, and to not find a single server of the kind ... anywhere ... felt crazy to me! It's true that I swore off modern minecraft, but I only came back to see if maybe I could find bastion for oldheads like myself, and yet, nothing. Absolutely nothing!! I know all good things must come to an end, but I never thought I'd see the death of 1.8! I used to hate hearing those tryhards harp on about how much better it was, and how 'shields ruined the game' ... but to fail to find a single 1.8 server? Anywhere??

    I might keep looking, but I'm worried there's just gonna' be loot-crates or other P2W things, like gems. I just hope I can find one that doesn't suck! It's so hard these days to find a single minecraft server that honestly doesn't do pay-to-win. There are even server hosts now, who claim to be such, and do it anyway. (shocker) So, if it's that hard to find a server that doesn't suck, then the odds of finding one in 1.8 are super low.

    I mean, yikes! If that's the state the game is in, I think I'll continue to avoid minecraft from here on out. To be honest, I have enjoyed the distinct lack of it in my recommendations, and I'm gonna' keep it that way.

    I've decided to make a mod on a later date instead of right now.

    As it turns out, modding is hard and requires a lot of resources, and more than originally thought assuming you currently lack them as I do. I will go back to making resource packs until I have this problem sorted out. If you'd like to help, please direct me to a program that can access/take apart Minecraft's source-code that doesn't belong to Oracle due to their Terms Of Service/Privacy Policies being distasteful in my opinion, as I am against services that require you to allow surveillance of what you're doing so said activity can be given to marketing teams. If there are no options, I'll simply look elsewhere. I may come off as weird in that regard, but I like privacy and hate creepy ads.

    In the mean time, I'll be busy with IRL stuff anyways, so advice is much appreciated assuming it's useful. Thanks.
