    So, I've downloaded a world, and I've put a copy of it into my saves file and backups file in the .minecraft folder, and it still won't show up in my worlds list. HELP!

    I've found out how to fix the problem. I need to take the world files out of the download file after extracting. Hope that info helps others with the same issue.
