Just fill out a helper application for now. It'll still cover the basics of what we're looking for in any staff member.

Forum manager as in forum moderator? If you mean managing how the forums are and what all the different sub-forums are, then no. But forum moderators, probably in the future

Java is good for beginners, as it's very easy to learn. However, it's definitely not the best for making games.

I'd suggest either C++ or C#. C++ is a very easy language to learn as well, and you can create many things with it. If you'd ever want to make good Microsoft-based programs, use C#. Be careful going from a language like Java to C#, or vice versa. It can be very confusing (I would know from experience )

Eh, doesn't sound too big. If only I had time and effort to actually make it

How much time per week could you devote to developing for us:
    15-35
    What IDE do you use?:
    IntelliJ (because Eclipse is bad)

    Will you work for free?:
Sometimes. Depends what the work is, and how well I get along with the "employer"

If not, how much do you usually charge?:
    Depends. Open for anything.

How long have you been developing plugins?:
    Around 2 years.

Link to 1 or more previous plugins made by you:

Anything else we should know about you?:
I do still struggle with Particle Effects (Grrr math!), NMS, and SQL stuff, but I've been steadily working on improving those skills

You can still sell ranks. You can't give in-game advantages with ranks.

    Time playing Minecraft:
Since 1.2.3 (what is that, like, 4 years?)

    Previous Experience:
I've owned 1 server in the past. It made around $4500 and then the Co-Owner stole it and disappeared :/

I've been a developer for 2 other servers, the most recent one just shutting down, had been working there for around a year without payment.

Before I got into developer (fun) business, I had been an admin... erm, 3 times I think? and Moderator a couple times. Don't really remember since it was so long ago.

    Your skills with People (1-10):
I'd say 8, but who am I to judge myself? I'd rather let other people judge that

What kind of server you'd like to create:
A custom KitPvp server (5 base classes, cool abilities, kit upgrading, etc etc)
A custom Factions that I've been developing
A Minigame server with exclusive minigames.

    Plugins that you have made:
    Enchantment Upgrade, Mending for 1.8

    Why should we pick you?
I think that I'm a pretty good developer. I try to make plugins for people (or servers) as close to how they request it. I'm always looking for people to give me feedback on the work that I do. I have a very creative mind when it comes to creating new features to implement that players will enjoy, as well as making things easier for staff members all together, whether it be a punishment GUI, staff chats and channels, Slack integrations, etc. If there's something I'm not so good at, such as SQL or Particles (darn math!), I try my best to learn as I go along!
Note: I love messing around and having fun with players

Do you have any ideas for a new gamemode?
Yes, but I'd prefer to keep them private

    Like posted before....

    1) Run a malware scan. You'd be surprised what can cause problems.
    2) Make a clean installation of Minecraft (yes, this means remove everything). Be sure to backup any worlds, resource packs, and screenshots you may want. Then simple delete your Minecraft directory and start fresh.
    3) Decrease the amount of RAM you allocate to Minecraft (down to 1 or 2GB, no more).
    4) Run a Memory Diagnostic - open a command prompt and enter mdsched. This will check your installed RAM for problems, restart your PC, and then show you if there are issues + possible fixes.

I think what you're looking for is a Plugin Manager. I'll hop on though

CaptainMuricaMinecraft doesn't require a powerful CPU to run, so you could easily get away with a modern Pentium, Athlon II x4, or Core i3. For graphics, you'll want at least a GTX 950 to get 60 FPS at 1080p with good shader packs. I own a 750 Ti and it can only hit 60 FPS with medium-quality shader packs, like SEUS Standard and KUDA Medium.

CarbonMCI don't know much about computers either, but the only thing I can say is the Memory (RAM) is really important as well! Good luck with your computer!

As long as you have enough RAM (8GB is standard these days), you don't need to worry about it.

    1) This is not a very good way of handling things... Why buy a good GPU just for games that require a good GPU (which most require a decent GPU & CPU)

    2) By getting an i3 or Pentium + a GTX 960 (or equivalent card), you'll run the high "risk" of bottlenecking the GPU, which isn't good... You'd wanna get a decent processor along with the decent GPU that you got (960 + i5, 980ti + i7, etc etc)

Hmm yes I'll go buy a $600 video editing software instead of finding a fix for my free one I'm using now. Perfect logic!

    Coming from a Developer himself....

    This is beyond annoying.

    BUT

It is just Minecraft. Younger kids do not always know the difference between just configuring a plugin, and actually diving into the code that makes the plugin work. To the "young minds," they would be a developer, because they did something with plugins, even though that would be incorrect by a server's standards.

Keep these things in mind before you go and rant to a little kid about how he is not a developer
