Winter, on my RPG idea, I'd say towny (as factions isn't needed if you have that and it allows easy nations and the like) and yes, a set number, but with there still being a chance of us adding more.

Say...

Government has it's leader (nation)
Sub-government towns (has their leaders that can help the story)

And the same on the rebel and non-associate side.

Maybe a corrupt government has had control over the world for centuries, and a rebel group has fromed to help free the people from it's tyranical grasp?

Other small factions like a Chruch of Minetology could be inside the rebels' and the government's factions?

And a desert-dwelling people known as the wastelanders who roam the wasteland(desert) in search of anyone they can raid?

I could use someone like you on the server I already run XD

Winter, kinda like that but it seems very confusing, especially to new users who would join and try to figure out the ranking system.

I think we shouldn't do that, maybe get a normal non-pvp server set up (or tekkit PVP) and do a bunch of idea editing on the server side as time goes on, maybe making a forums specifically for it alone?

Also, when naming it, let's avoid any of the cliches like "craft" and the like

you can release a Tekkit that has all the basic plugins to make it safe and fun, as well as 2/3 other ones on low RAM, get enough $$$ to upgrade, then do so

What server host are you looking at? I have one that works really well for good prices and great customer support.
True, we don't, but we MAY be able to get some if we extend our influence to servers that we own/operate in

Not true, I could host a 15/20 slot server on 2 gigs back when I did so, mostly lag free. occasional lag when the other server running on the VPS was being heavily used

Why not have a multi-world Tekkit, with Creative as one world, Survival on another, and maybe a non-pvp one as well?

Well, if it's Tekkit, I can set it up and make it all beautiful and such really quickly. Also, Tekkit is always more popular when done right.

I say Tekkit so I can tell MY users to go join that for Tekkit fun (and I can do Tekkit too) and it should have PvP but no raiding. Also: Lockette

It just attracts the ugly side of the community, the mean and nasty people. Not ALL of the users it brings are like that, but quite a few. Maybe name the donator ranks after precious metals? Say... Bronze Silver Gold Platinum Adamantine?

There are many plugins that stop it, but most don't really work too well. It's much easier to just watch them. Speaking of, OpenInv and SimplyVanish (since VanishNoPacket causes lightning whereas SV does not, much more secretive) are very good for catching people.
iConomy 7 isn't real, it's iConomy6, and I have the .jar that works with 1.3 on my desktop XD
